Lucid Dreaming

lol its not really that easy man. in the somewhat unlikely event that you realize its a dream, its very possible that you'll just wake up :p

I have lucid dreams infrequently, but every time the only thing I really want to do is fly. It's such an exhilirating feeling, and feels so real. I'm always upset when I wake up, because then I have to deal with reality. And reality sucks.

This might be worth a try. I might be able to meet a couple characters I've been having trouble fleshing out. I can't do it tonight, or the night after, since I've got finals, but I'll commit to doing it afterwards, and every night that doesn't precede a final.

Personally, I've heard this from so many sources (many of them trusted friends of mine) that it's tough to think it's some sort of scam; this is also the first set of instructions I've seen, which has me a little excited.

I'm looking forward to (perhaps) getting the hang of this before my free week is up. I can think of a lot of things I'd like to do. Like, uh...

Well, I'll figure that out when I get there. Maybe I'll be able to find out where my nightmares have been hiding at all this time.

There was a time a while back when I would get sleep paralysis maybe one in four times. It's pretty scary the first couple of times, but from then on your reaction is just "oh, not again" and you start shaking your head or big toe or whatever you do to re-establish that connection between body and mind.

I'll never get used to sleep paralysis. It reminds me too much of general anesthesia, which scared me shitless last time I got it (Although, the times before it were relatively fine). I was awake too long--the docs had me count back from 100 and I got to 80, then they upped my dose or something after questioning why I was still coherent ... After that, I couldn't talk, but was still counting in my head until I got to about 10 or so. They thought I was completely under at about 50, and had started to get to work. The more I counted, the more it looked like I was backing down a long, dark hallway, where my vision was just the light at the end of the tunnel ... Geez, those images still wake me up at night ...

:( Bwuh. All that just isn't fun for me.

This is slightly off topic, but they reckon anesthesia actually paralyses you, temporarily, and that you feel all the pain, and then something in it makes you forget all about it. Makes me never want to have it.

About the Hag, would wearing a blindfold solve it? Because then you wouldn't be able to see anything, i.e. shadows; and you wouldn't be able to look around your room at things or anything like that.

Wyatt, it is possible. However it is not always a physical form, sometimes it is more of a presence, and a weight on you. Therefore, I suggest facing the thing.

BTW: Last night, I tried it, in my shower, after 'cleaning' myself, and during it, I was saying, "Yeah, I'll be able to realize I'm dreaming. No big." Over and Over, I got excited a few times (HAPPY, NOT 'EXCITED') before going to sleep, before stopping.

I had 3 dreams that night, and I remember all of them,

1) I was in a 1st person view of a form of 'Eudemons Online'. The town was under attack, and a group of us formed together to fight. Some guy gave me a godstone, allowing me to summon another Eudemon, and I had these awesome eudemons, these monsters were giant... things, like purple with huge bulging eyes. After fighting for about (what seemed like) an hour, one of them caught me between BP 6 and BP 7 (back points, it's above between your ribs and kidneys) and went straight through, I started coughing blood, I saw the blood hit it. It threw me into a wall, destroyed the wall. My eyes closed, and when I opened them again, I was on a...

2) beach, there were girls there. It was probably France, due to the people speaking there. I started talking to people in Italian, and they partially understood me, and vica-versa. It was nice to hear about how people around the world are affected, they didn't like the war in Iraq, while I have no approach on it. After awhile I went into the water, and dove into it, leading me to...

3) I was partially naked, only boxers on. I had a sword, and was swimming deeper, deeper. There was a girl there, on the ground, bubbles out of her mouth. I grabbed her, and swam up. Before I reached the surface, I heard a panging noise, my heart overexerting itself. I hit the surface, brought her to land, saved her, and went back into the ocean.

And then woke up.

I didn't have any control, gonna try the ivory thing today.

Hmm. Last night I had a strange dream, but I'm not sure if it was Lucid or not. I was in a sort of... field, but the field was made of water. And I thought to myself "Hey, this is a lucid dream, so I can fly, right?" So I found myself flying, and then I died somehow but I can't recall anything else about it. But I reckon I just dreamt I was Lucid dreaming, as I didn't really control myself at all.

I used to have lucid dreams all the time when I was little(er). I remember I'd wake up, (I had be 8-12 when these used to happen) and just lie down for a little bit. After a while, I'd have to go get some water of something, so I'd try to get up. But, I couldn't move, couldn't talk, nothing. And then I'd feel the "presence". And then I'd hear like a low groaning in my head. It's pretty much indescribable, the noises and not being able to move or breathe. That would scare the crap outta me. So everytime I used to be like "Dear God, please help me, I don't wanna die!" and It would go away.
Now, I don't get it that much anymore, but when I do, I dream that I'm chasing a beautiful woman and everytime she disappears into a room, I end up falling for a disconcerting amount of time till I wake up in a sweat. I kinda try avoiding it though, getting held down by the Hag ... I think this stuff has some kind of edge of mystisism in it that I have no desire to reawaken in my life ...

I can only remember something vaguely hag-like happening to me once. Its one of my first memories. Basically its just a field, or a straggly forest, covered in snow, with a fence sticking out of it. It would just be that image, and sometimes me walking through it. I remember being cold, and being repressed. But the thing that sticks out for me is, basically, I'd hear these noises - they were fucking crazy, like nothing else I've heard before or since. Its like a mix of being next to a really fast train, on a really busy street, with cars streaming past and everybody shouting at you, people screaming, metal grinding on metal, pulsing, getting louder, then quietening down, then getting louder, louder than when it was loud before, and it would keep getting louder until it was completely unbearable, and I'd feel myself go weightless as if I was floating down to the bottom of a pool, and it was just me, the field and the screaming. It sounds quite silly now I write it out here but that was at the time my absolute number one fear. It used to keep coming back. Its stopped now, I think, I've not had it for a while. But every now and again I'll think about the dream and then I'll think about the screaming and it'll all come back again.

Doesn't a hag only appear if you believe in it.....I mean if you believe it's not real then it won't be real. Seems logical I mean I've had it once but that was only because I believed in it then I said to myself why do I care about this crap and I never had it again.

Basically I only think it happens if you believe in it like it's a trick of the mind.
