i've tried lots and lots of teas. hot and cold alike. the only ones that aren't repugnant are ones that are so heavily flavored that they probably have just as many calories as soda anyway.

coffee and non-fruit beers are gross too, so I realize I'd have a rough time enjoying beverages in most parts of the world ...
 
I feel the same as Ven.

I don't like tea or coffee either. Never tried beer, though I think I like fruity wine better than regular.

So it's either ICE COLD water or diet soda. ;_;
 
Oh I totally agree there. And I like mocha ice cream and such. But then when you sweeten coffee enough to taste GOOD, you're actually getting MORE calories than soda (by a lot).
 
Well that's why you use artificial sweetener, but at that point you might as well be drinking diet soda. Unfortunately coffee is naturally gross. :(
 
This is for anyone who's complained about their level of soda consumption:

Just this year I've managed to cut down on the amount of soda I drink pretty significantly, sticking primarily with water. Getting a case of bottled water and a couple flavor shots is not only extremely inexpensive in comparison to soda, but it also tastes good as well. The green thunder tastes reminiscent of Mountain Dew minus the carbonation; they have a ton of flavors that will pretty much disguise the fact you're drinking water. To help with the temptation, I don't even purchase pop at the store anymore, just occasionally when I'm out to eat. If you drink a lot of soda, but don't want to put a lot of effort into shedding your belly, switching to water is the quickest, easiest way to start eating and living healthier.

mio is good but i dont want any sugar in my beverage at all :c im sticking to juice every now again (tried grapefruit juice, not bad)
 
my problem isnt so related to taste, it's related to carbonation and ... addiction, really. i'm addicted. probably to the caffeine and whatever makes cola/dr. pepper brown (dark corn syrup?)? like drinking 7UP or Sprite do nothing really for me.

carbonated water is okay tasting (and mio tastes pretty good, especially when adding it to carbonated water) but even when I make a big point to stock it in the house instead of soda, I find that I naturally just hydrate less. meaning that i am far, far less likely to drink anything unless i actively force myself to. i see it in the fridge and it's like it doesn't exist, and i don't feel thirst.

it's weird as hell and i'm addicted as fuck. i'm betting it's the caffeine I'm addicted to? I wonder if there is a drink additive that has caffeine in it?
