Heard a couple things about the stress hormone cortisol today. First, that our brain produces less cortisol when it's dark. Which may or maynot explain why I'm more productive at night. I pace around the house during the day, grind my teeth, sit down, get back up a second later. Worry about everything so much it paralyzes me.
Second, ectomorph body types tend to have higher levels of cortisol in the first place. And even though everyone says you'll feel better after a workout, for an ectomorph a workout could just be adding to the stress. I could go into more detail but after seeing all the things cortisol relates to; it explains a lot.
Fitness wise it seems if I ever expect to loose this pouch or put on muscle I'm going to have to learn to relax. Although in reality it might not be an issue and I just want to believe it is because it makes sense.
