lol, oh the old "Nintendo is an evil corporate company boo-hoo" argument.
I don't see what the problem is. Yeah, it sucks that Nintendo makes assloads of coin by reselling the same franchises through reinvention of it's tried and true game mechanics (which, I could easily argue is actually a very good thing) but so what?
Seriously, who the fuck cares and why should they?
I, like many people, own many systems.
And I, like many people, play both new and innovative games and Zelda: Phantom Twilight Time Travelling Mystical Dildo Hunt: Return to the Past that was the Present but now it's Another Dimension: Mr. Tingle Edition Silver with gold-plated cartidge. No big deal. So long as there are other games out there with new franchises and gameplay why would anyone give a damn?
Unless (and this the only reason why, I could think Marcus is going apeshit) you're jealous because Nintendo can make assloads of coin doing what appears to be not much of anything, while you're sitting around with what you believe to be "hella-hella-brilliant" gameplay ideas and not a cent for them.
Or some kind of, vestigial playground rage because all the cool kids in school had a SNES and you were stuck with Sonic and Vectorman (<- go steal this game from Gamestop now!!)

This probably comes as no surprise, but I'm interested in the Tales game. I heard rumors that it was going to be another sequel game, like Symphonia 2.

And why can't you just ignore those games? eh? The PS2 had a bunch of crap aswell but nobody cared about it. It's always the sam about Nintendo: "Nintendo games are for kids" "Nintendo forgot Hardcoregamers (stupidest word i have ever heard in my whole life)" "Nintendo is just remaking" "Nintendo is destroying gaming" I guess they are trying to say "Nintendo has no right to have a console which sells good (well it seems like it)"

Second off, alright, but no one's going to take you seriously when you say it. I've seen this argument a billion times since coming here, and it's never actually meant anything or broken the stalemate in an argument. If someone thinks a game is shit, they're probably going to stop playing it anyway -- so why talk about it at all? Far as I can tell, it's so that other people won't have to make the same mistake, not because the reviewer thinks it makes him feel special.

I think the fact that the DSi can also work as a mp3 player is enough to make me buy it. When it comes out. In 2009. ffuucckk.
And I could really care less about the camera cababilities. If I wanted a camera, I'd buy one from cannon, not nintendo. And yeah, the lack of a gba slot kinda sucks, but so what?
If your gba collection is so big that you still need a peripheral to play them, then just keep your old DS or go and buy a cheaper Gameboy SP at your nearest EB.
Downloadable content on your handheld? Fuck yes. Will it be harder to steal games now by loading the roms onto a flash card. Maybe yes, maybe no. Nintendo has a creative and clever Hardware staff, and I'm sure that with the DSi, they may have applied a various solution to how youve been stealing games.
Personally though, the original DS lite still has a time to go. Maybe not in Japan, but in america, its fine that it is not coming out too soon. Also, can somone tell me what the point of a fucking connector capable is? I thought we were past that ever since handhelds became WIRELESS.

The release date is next month in Japan. Nintendo's handhelds are region free so I myself will probably buy one depending on how it handles this downloadable nintendo store game stuff.
But as far as piracy goes, IF IT IS EXECUTABLE IT CAN BE HACKED. Let's start a betting pot right now. I guarantee you guys (10$ down) that by January 1 2009 there will be a 3rd party program that lets you run regular DS games off the sd card.
