Alright so nobody on this forum is a bigger nintenfag than I, and with the help of /v/ I knew long ago that nintendo was holding a press conference on October 2nd. Due to the time change, that would be streaming to my computer at 1:30 AM, and I OF COURSE stayed up for it :3
THE BAD (let's get this out of the way D: )
New handheld, called the DSi. It has internal storage, updatable firmware, mp3 player and digital camera built in, SD card slot, photo editor, downloadable addons and options and games via wii points on the wii shop channel, bigger screens. It would seem like it's just a DS lite with added options for people who want to spend the money BUTNOOOOOOOOOOOO nintendo has to come in and fuck us in the ass with it. =|
No GBA slot support - That means no more GBA games and no more GBA slot peripherals (lol but don't worry nintendo is putting up GBA games on the VC so you can rebuy them again ^_^;;;;;;; fffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuucccccccccck)
DSi only games - YES FUTURE RELEASES WILL ONLY BE ON THE DSi. I mean why? It's not time yet for a new handheld generation, we've still got a good two years left in this one. And the DSi has the exact same graphical/computing power as the DS and the DS lite so it's not a new system GRGRFFSDGSDFGSDBFSDG FUCK

New Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles for both wii and DS FINALLY SHOWN
New wiiware firmware update shown - this is good because it allows you to FINALLY RUN CHANNELS AND GAMES OFF THE SD CARD THANK YOU IWATA
and finally a new 'Tales' game. Not Tales of Symphonia 2, but a new title in the series. Whee.
They're also remaking old gamecube games with added content and wii specific controls. nothin I'm really excited about because I play most of them on the Wii already via backwards compatibility, but mehhh. They're remaking DK jungle beat and pikmin 1.
ALSO KNOW WHAT'S GREAT?????? Nintendo of America is holding another press conference in just a couple of hours. Let's hope there's more on the way :3
