Lol. Nice claw! This tutorial was awesome, though. I made sooooo many icons. I'll try to post them all. They are Broadsword, Buster Sword (FFVII), Butter Knife (lol, a request), Curved Sword, and Dagger. I have sooooo many more...

Very nice tutorial. I would just like to say one thing. I saw on the first page a lot of stuff about photoshop, well if you can't afford it you could always download Paint.NET. It was supposed to be an upgraded MS Paint or something...Anyway, it works just as well as PS. (Layers, effects, etc)

downloaded the Paint.NET program, VERY nice, much easier to make stuff than with regular MS Paint! anyways, im not a very good artist, so feedback on how to improve these is much helpful!

Does anyone like my fusion icon? Also, here are some custom Icons not made from this tut!:

All of which go into my game :)
I only use MS Paint BTW.

@Swiftdeathsk: Post them in resource analysis for feedback, that's what it's for.

@Halestorm: Limit the icons to ones made with the tutorial.

Gee gad, I'm starting to sound like a Nazi.

A quick note from on artistic standpoint: I notice a lot of the newbies tend to use high saturation colors. Also note the OP's outlines: they are a somewhat darker shade of the color in an adjacent pixel rather than a flat black. You only want the contrast between the object and the outline to be just enough to be noticeable. Tana has an excellent tutorial on color here. Much better than what I had to say in the previous version of this post.

A quick and dirty leaf icon:

Eek! Mine eyes!

the same icon, with softer colors and outlines:

Still not great, but requiring zero additional talent :)

And finally, because I needed a prickly leaf icon anyway:

More work, better product, still not quite there but not bad for half hour of work.

Oh! Feel free to use and abuse, but please don't put my name on the top two >.<

Hello :D ,
I want to ask whether I can translate this tutorial from english to german and would be allowed to post it in german forums?
I would naturally refer that you wrote it.
That would be very nice ^_^ ...
Thanks a lot ^_^
(Sorry for my bad Englisch)
