I picked up my guitar a little while ago (been playing for the last few hours) and decided to look in on this topic, I just starting playing blues guitar a little while ago.

I play Trumpet, and enjoy concert music. But I love Jazz.  I'm actually into writing music for all instruments though, and I use Finale 2008.

It depends on what your definition of "shredding" is.  If you mean just playing random notes and picking the strings as fast as you can, then yes...it is easy.  But if you mean playing scales and melodies and fitting them to the song, then you are most definitely wrong.  It takes a lot of patience and persistent practice to be able to do something like that, just like with any other instrument.

Eh, thats kind of false. Shredders don't just play random shit, but have an extreme amount of talent that allows them to play stuff really fast.

Pity it sounds shit and is a waste of that talent.

I play instruments such as: Guitar,bass,xylophone,violin,keyboard,drums. I also do Fl studio which I have samples in my signature. I like to do several genres and experiment with all.
