Ohh, haha okay.
Yeah the auditions are a single line from that latter video you provided, with no editing done to the voices. They're nothing special though, haven't really done voice work before, just sounds fun :p

This looks like a lovely project, my only concerns are that it's still using RPG Maker's grid movement, I think a real time battle system needs pixel-based movement so the player can make quick choices, leaving them to wait until they arrive at a tile before letting them correct a mistake is restricting in terms of player control.

I know you can't do much in terms with art, seeing that you're on RTP sets, but it would look better if everything was increased in size, again in terms of the real-time battle system, it brings the player closer to the action and masks everything surrounding them so they're more inclined to pull off move combinations and keep on the attack than run from the scene, Secret of Mana and Chrono Trigger used larger character sprites than a Final Fantasy game for the same reason, brings the player closer to the action and let's them focus on it without being distracted by surrounding scenes.

A change I'd make on a personal preference is I'd increase the music volume in battles to slightly drown out the voice chatter, it floods the player's ears with noise information and gives even further illusion of action, Xenoblade Chronicles the overlapping voices and louder music in battles (With lots of attack sound effects) makes the simple action of keeping near a monster to kill it seem like high-pulse action.

I think, within limits of RPG Maker, zooming the camera each time an action commences in the battle and adding per pixel movement would be good to add.

Wait wait. There's a playable demo? o.o
How did I miss this? x.x

And wow Xilef, you're all over the place giving out good critique! Kinda makes me want to do a thread on my Ludum Dare game xD

Oh wow, thats a neat system!
Do you know if the AI is programmed, or is it stock AI from/script?

I always find AI to be one of the hardest aspects to program xD
I dunno, I quite like the grid base system.
Though that popping sound in the menus x.x
So loud...

Haha.
He's gonna enjoy programming bosses then...
I find programming for a grid based game to be much harder too. Since with a non-grid, you can just use simple radius, but can't do that with grids...

Yes he can.

Hello all!

Just thought I'd update this thing, with random information!

The team has definitely been working out on the game. Especially the programmer, Star and our new musician, Christina.

The Battle System is about 40% complete. Yes, only 40% complete. It's a lot of hard work for poor Star. He has to get the balancing and AI just right!

I've been hard at work getting the voice actors together. It's so exciting, it's my favorite part! I don't know why - it makes me feel like a Voice Director. Tee-hee.

I wanted to show you how I work. B)

This is the document I use for the game:

And what I'm really trying to work on is equipment - which STILL is not done. D= I think I may need some help. @_@

Here's a sample of the Scythe section for weapons:

Yes, I mentioned that we had a new musician: Christina. Here is one of her songs:

This past weekend, the writer finished all of the scripts for the voice acted scenes. Don't worry, we won't overload you all with VA'd scenes. That would be horrible! XD

I might have mentioned this before, but we also have a concept artist named Cody. He will be designing the weapons and some of the monsters. Here is a sample of his work:

Well I suppose that is all we have for now, I hope you enjoyed this random update from us!

Thanks for reading!

I am currently making a snow ruins tileset for Frosthollow. @_@ It seems like a lot work - even if I'm just putting snow on top of things. XD

I think I'm going have Star create all the exterior maps so I can start putting together cutscenes while he works on the battle system. :D

Wait! Maybe we should recruit a mapper! So he won't have to stop his work to help me out! If you're interested, let me know!

Sounds like a plan~
