This game was originally used for my RTP Challenge entry, and was developed in 2006

Story Synopsis:

The Templars, a race of powerful warriors wielding an unrivaled source of power. The Rune Arts, a forbidden magic, which has been oust by civilized society. Both are paths shrouded in mystery, but when a High Templar is faced with the choice of following in the forbidden art or submitting to the ultimate punishment, his decision may have an effect, which may change the entire land of Benedict...

Characters:

Protagonists:
Leiagos:
Leiagos, is a high templar trained in only the most vigorous Templar Arts. His powers are beyond belief and in Benedict they are only second to Vice, a member of the Templar Council. He is very mellow maintains a strict attitude.

Garde:
Garde, is a mid-ranked Templar. He trains under Leiagos' wing and hopes to attain the level that Leiagos has reached. He his very hot headed, but he respects the chain of command.

Faelle:
Faelle, is a bandit. She was capture and detained by Leiagos and Garde. She is forced along their quest, but begins to develop a liking for them (or Leiagos at least.) She is quiet, but will speak her mind in times of boredom.

Antagonists:
Gola:
Gola, is a studier of the Rune Arts. This Runist has a name for manipulating the minds of those he encounters. His eyes have been set on the High Templars, and he will stop at nothing to have them, but is there a bigger quest on his agenda?

Looks cool, JStreet, I'm downloading it right now.
Some story elements are sort of cliche, such as Templars and Rune Arts, but that kind of goes with the RTP theme.
Happy Holidays.

He'll give you a small amount for them. It's good that you didn't, because those daggers are the strongest ones for a while.

Yes, a few things about encryptions that I don't like.
1) They make file sizes bigger.
2) If the game has an error, you can't fix it.
3) If someone wants to know how I did something, they couldn't find out.
4) If someone wanted to use my resources they couldn't access them.
5) Sometimes I don't backup, and if I lose data I want an open copy.

Most of (If not all) my games will be unencrypted. The only exception will be if I have paid for something to be made in my game, then I probably won't freely distribute it until the game is finished.

Cool.

Also, in this screen, I think I discovered a bug...

I'm at the bottom left of the screen. I touched the mushroom, got into a battle, and escaped. Faelle got killed. After the battle, I couldn't move or do anything. The bandit that was supposed to be standing at the top of the screen wasn't there anymore, and I couldn't even access the menu. All I could do was press Page Down and look at my stamina.

It's good to see the old encryption debate is still raging. Hey J. Still hard at work on these games I see. Looks fantastic. Practice does make perfect. I shall give it a download for my laptop. I'm playing MOTW and Under, but they are almost done. Can't wait to dig into this. (( I get bored at work at times )).

That is by far, the strangest bug encounter I've heard. I honestly don't know what happened. It's not in the event or anything. Most of the monsters and copied and pasted. *shrugs*

Hey Billy! We miss you :( I really wish Sac. was still around, but I know how busy you are. Well, anyways, thanks for supporting me as you always do. ;)

Thanks J. At least someone misses me. lol. Anyway. Sac. will get done. I've got a secret active partner. A good one too. You'll get a PM sooner or later. Wish I could tell ya more, but for now... hush hush. Looking forward to playing your game though. It'll be a welcome diversion.

Of course you're still the revolutionary of RMXP, imo. I've yet to see anyone do what you've done. I guess that's good news and hopefully it will be sooner.

Everyone, keep playing, and commenting. An actual review wouldn't hurt either.

I played this game, and I found it somewhat easy. You really lowered the difficulty from the demo (not that it is bad thing, I like easy rpgs).
Some things:

1. The game froze everytime I tried to escape from battle.
2. Somehow, I managed to fight those "things" in the ultimate dungeon without visiting Nowitall. And I actually managed to beat one of them. :-/

The ending was nice and not so cliche. I hope you win the contest with this.:)

Ps. Do we see AoV III soon?

What's up with these weird escape bug...':|

Hmm, I'll look into the Nowitall thing, because I don't think you should've been able to access the Dungeon without beating the actual Nowitall in the snow fields. I've had to make several corrections in that department. :p

Thank you for the ending comment. I rushed it, so it's not as good and epic as I wanted it to be.

Actually, before the release of AoV III there will be an AoV II Act 2 release which will properly end that chapter of the story. I might even redo the entire game. It'll still be around 2 - 5 hours and I will keep the difficulty relatively easy for fun's sake.

After I get a little handle on making tilesets, I'll begin on AoV III, which will be another completely custom project I'll be working on.

Currently, I'm working on a Futuristic Political/Modernist Thriller entitled Arias Lust, which has been my main focus over the passed month or so. I hope to have a demo out around late January or Mid Febuary.

Thanks for having an interest in this project. I hope I can continue to deliver a game worth playing.

J, however you find a way to complete all these games, I'll never know, I just hope it rubs off on the rest of us. We all could use drive like yours! (Downloading Now)

Jirby, I've heard that encryption increases file size(slightly). Personally, I never really pay enough attention. :p

Kojo, it's all about deadlines. When I set a deadline it pushes me to complete what needs to be done.

Added this to the Download Manager.
