Gotta say it takes quite a bit to impress me and you've done it. Well done. I am thoroughly looking forward to the release of the first full-chapter.

Two pieces of advice though, the mapping is good for the most part, however there is one problem, it's all kinda bland indoors, the corridors upstairs in the train station have nothing in them. A plant or two here and there, maybe a picture on the wall or something. Pots, bins, chests, anything. It was a little confusing moving around because it all looked the same. Secondly, I've got a cursor script made by Selwyn if you want that, it does make the world of difference to the whole FF-Nostalgia.

Thanks Petros, it means quite a bit coming from you seeing as you've been working on a FF:Z since at leasy May '06 and you probably have more experiance in the field of fangames. So 'Ta'.

The Selwyn cursor script is the one where the hand appears on the menu, right?

If so I'd like to at least try it out on my game even if it doesn't work out in the end (Script compatabillity is the most annoying thing in the world!)

Your windowskin has some errors in it, there is a stretch on the selection box and some odd pixels.
I made a direct rip window skin of FF7 for one of my old projects, it's on the forums somewhere (Can't find it though)
I'll upload it and you can take a look. The project I used it on had the entire FF7 script collection in it, but was a pain to work with.

Played the demo for about 30 mins and so far i'm impressed. This is how a fangame should be if someone decides to make one. Keep up the good work.

Thanks. It's actually been since Dec '05 but I've kinda had it on hold for the last two years really. I've sent a PM with the cursor script to you too. If you want some help I'd be glad to offer it at some point.

Looking good but Cloud should be the main character and save the world once again by his own hand. Ofcourse with lots of emotional cutscenes where he says popular quotes like "I can't do anything right" and "I can't help anybody".

And the introduction should start with Cloud in a tuxedo saying "Hello, I am Cloud Strife and I will be your hero for tonight."

But looking good.

Petros : Thanks for both the script and for pointing out to me that Xilef had put the windowskin in the thread, I saw his original post but I had no idea about the edit.

Bridgeman: If you want something like that then you should probably make your own game with a similar theme. If that is sarcasm then you may want to stab yourself several times for taking sarcasm to a new level.

Actually, I don't have to have Cloud at all. Personally, since Advent Children I've really not liked Cloud because of his emo-ism.

Also, let this be a disclaimer, the next person who suggests something idiotic and potentially impossible (like include Cloud or make it so that AVALANCHE is alive... or even change the time period) will probably be ignored or humiliated. Please don't let me have to kill puppies because if the humiliation doesn't put you off, I may actually have to kill puppies.

It's just that 30 mins is the minimum amount of gameplay time for a project to go in the 'Completed Projects' Sub-Forum, which would help as it is easier to keep projects near the top of the page in there because there is a lot less projects in that forum.

Though I'm not really sure if it would help my project much...

Bridgeman, if you're being a fanboy here then you're probably in the wrong place. Do read the threads before hand. This is about setting and content not Cloud using his materia to save the world again.

If you're having a laugh, which based on your signature I guess you are. Then give it a rest because you're aggravating a situation and are essentiallying flaming, which, even though this is not my thread I won't tollerate anywhere!

Erm... Okaaay... The Cloud thing is a little weird...

Sadly I just found a bad glitch in the coding that means that save games saved at the: 'To Be Continued' Screen won't actually allow you to continue, however I'm fixing that up and at the next realease there will be a save game just before the platform scene.

I also somehow set the wrong default battle music because I was testing out a boss... Whoops...

Hi, I get to the end of the hotel place and it comes up with the "save, Continue game, Quit" thing... and when i click Continue game.. it says transfer it to another version to carry one... Is this the end of what you have made atm or.. do i need to dl something else? :P if so can you pm it to me? (im not on alot :S)
