Final Fantasy VI SDK - Going Social!

lol I don't know wich SDK I will do next. It depends on the freetime I have and how long and hard will be the SDK. FFV systems are more complex than in FFIV. But FFIV menu will be harder to do 'cause it's all animated.
I'll have to take a look at it.
 
Sorry for double-posting but I have to update the topic!
As you know the 2nd demo will be released soon and the following one will be the official release. So, I think I'll start a new SDK. Don't worry, FFVI SDK is the priority!

The question has been asked before: Wich FF SDK will you make next?
I have played both ff4 and ff5 in the last month, I have made some research, looking for sprites, documentation, ect.

Here's what I have:

Final Fantasy IV
  • A lot of characters
  • Some battlers
  • All face graphics
  • A lot of enemies
  • All .mid songs
  • 1 tileset
  • A rom editor
  • Some informations on enemies, items and magic
Final Fantasy V
  • Almost all characters and poses
  • All battlers for all jobs (w/o the 4 new jobs in FFVA)
  • All enemies
  • All .mid songs
  • All informations on enemies, items and magic
  • FFV Algorithm (thanks to Tseng ^_^ )
My decision seems obvious, no?
Final Fantasy V SDK will be the next SDK. It will be harder to do but I have much more information on it than on FFIV.

Yes, if you want to help it would be appreciated. I'm putting more efforts on scripting than on spriting and ripping so if you have anything to share, it would be truly appreciated. Especially for FFIV. Don't worry, you will have your name in the special thanks and credits ;)
 
Tilesets, characters and battle backgrounds are the most important things i need. I already have all the battlers, music, weapon sprites, ect.
So Tilesets, characters and battle backgrounds in SNES type.

I was wondering if you did some progress on the VI.

It seems that most of you prefer FFIV!
Can you rip only from GBA? In fact it doesn't matter...
There's one thing I'd really like to have from the GBA and it's the battle backgrounds. I might replace the old ones by them (or let the user choose). Please, if you send something to me, send it by PM, not directly here.

If you plan on going by the most updated version for class names, than Terra is known as "Magitek Elite". I bought the GBA version a week ago, and that's what it says. :)
 
That's interesting. If you have more informations about the names in the GBA version, I'd like to have them please :)
I don't have it and I'd like to see the differences.
 
Sure, no problem; however, my friend "accidently" erased my file and I was about 80% through the game. I'll try to provide as much as I can.
EDIT: I just remembered, Edgar's class is known as "Machinist".

It's been a while since I have posted an update, so Here's one!

I'm now working on the demo itself, I'm adding a new map(Doma Castle). With this version you'll be able start making your fan game even if it's not the official release. I'm adding a lot of comments and I'm writing a documentation to help you use every features of FFVI SDK. I will release the demo in a month (or maybe 3 weeks, who knows!). I have nothing more to say right now but if you have any questions, feel free to ask!
 
Actually, I have 4 tileset.
  • World of Balance
  • Figaro castle (Outside)
  • Figaro castle (Inside)
  • Doma Castle
I am planning to rip the towns soon but that's not really important for now. But to answer your question, I will try to include all the tilesets if possible.
 
Ok, and was Celes known as Rune Knight, regarding her class? I wasn't sure if that was used in the old game. Oh, Kefka, Cid, and Emperor Gestahl now have faces used in the messages. You may want to gather those up. :)
