Final Fantasy VI SDK - Going Social!

I know about your vacation and all, but when can we realistically expect the first full release? I think I'd rather use this than the scripts I've had to force into cooperating and save myself the trouble.
 
That's a good question. There's still a lot of job to do with the battle system (animated battlers, battle commands, ect.) but when I'll be back on this, I guess it should take something like 2-3 months.

I'd like to be more precise about this but I really don't know when I will release the first full version.

Although i have a bit of a problem with version 1.83.
The battle system kills me with errors related to the Game_Battler script, like:

'Script 'Game_Battler' line 43: NoMethodError occurred.

undefined method `power' for nil:NilClass'


Alterring them doesn't work, deleting sends me to the next error in the same script. @_@
Care to tell me what's up with that? ;)

the airship scripts name is mode 07

Inquisitor didn't make the Mode07 script. Mewsterus made it FOR Inquisitor's World Map tileset. It's also buggy, and shouldn't be used.

MGCaladtogel's newer Mode7 script is superior anyways, IMO. It still has bugs, but I was able to fix all of them.

I'm looking forward to the 2.0 release of the SDK! I check every day for it. lol

You're right. And I will not use any mode7 script for now.

You'll be happy to know that I'm back on this project! I still have a couple of request to finish but I also have this project to be completed!

Thanks but I'm using my own special windowskin method. I made a little function which adds the exact same shade effect as in FF6. The windowskin itself has no shades and the script adds it automaticaly.

And i already have an update for you!
I'm working on the FFVI SDK Database Editor. You will be able to access the editor by running the project containing the FFVI SDK and if you are running it in debug mode, you will have the option to run the game or open the editor. This editor will let you edit all the FFVI SDK new options and variables you can't edit from the RMXP database. It will be user friendly and you will not have to play in the script editor! (the script editor is a playground for me. :))

Another update!

All scenes have been rewritten to work with the SDK::Scene_Base, a scroll cursor (for item windows) has been added, in the equip menu, you can equip swords and shields in both hands, the "Selectable Windows" such as Window_MenuStatus or Window_Item are not limited to their "item_max". (You can select any slots even if there is no item in it), I'm remaking the menu and dialogue fonts (FFVI_Menu.ttf, FFVI_Dialogue.ttf)
Also, I'm still working on the battle system at the same time.
And... Well, I guesst that's all for now!
