Some of my favorite anime:
Bleach: The first time I saw Ichigo go Bankai.... whoa. Plus, I'm curious to see the arrancar arc in animation.
Fullmetal Alchemist: I wasn't too keen on the ending of the series, but I thought the movie was cool. The plot was topnotch. Go SquareEnix.
Samurai Champloo: Oh man. Watanabe kicks so much ass. Samurai Champloo was pretty cool because unlike most anime, there are no filller episodes in this series, rather every episode is like a little saga of it's own which behind it all the overall plot for the search of the Sunflower Samurai still is the basis. Cool ass fight scenes. Mugen rocks.
Cowboy Bebop: I can't mention Samurai Champloo without mentioning Cowboy Bebop can I? Basically the same reasons I loved Samurai Champloo apply to Cowboy Bebop as well. The movie was cool and had one of the coolest fight scenes I've ever seen Spike in.
The Boondocks: Technically not really an anime, but it definentely looks as good as many anime out there. Hilarious show.
Avatar: The Last Airbender: Also not really an anime, Avatar: TLA has one of the most compelling storylines for a freaking Nickelodeon show. Also, the world is gorgeous and amazing.
Also, lately I've submitted to the Naruto madness and actually started watching the anime (original Japanese only, Naruto's english voice is like listening to scratching chalkboards) and I gotta' give an honorable mention:
Naruto: I love all the different characters in this anime, each of them are so unique, unlike the millions of generic characters we see in different shows today. Cool stuff.
