I see people bring entire towers and monitors for our league of legends club.

For me, portability is great, but I guess I'll consider doing a desktop + cheap portable something my next generation. I guess in two or three years we;ll see.

It used to be that desktop + netbook was the good combo, but now I'm rocking desktop + nexus 7 tablet, I also have a full sized laptop which I bought for my last job, so I can say that laptops are still good for work, just not gaming (my last job was as a game developer so I actually developed games on that laptop).
