I've been refraining from commenting in this because I'm quite spoiled compared to most of the members here but it seems not enough people can repeat this. You need to do something.

You have a truck, in a worst case scenario you can find somewhere that won't charge you to park and sleep in that for a few days. I assume you have bedding so being too cold shouldn't be a problem, sleeping sat up might hurt your neck a bit but it's better than nothing. Have your dad hold onto the stuff you're planning to ebay and ask Sic to check your listings then send them off and get more funds. Most big stores have public bathrooms and most swimming pools will let you use just the showers if you ask and you're willing to pay. You can use the time you're not playing games or on the computer any more to do job hunting and hopefully find something and improve your situation.

And that's the worst case scenario.

It's been said in this thread somewhere that sixty'd be willing to let you live with him? If that's the case it's far better than the 'live in you truck' option.

For christ's sake you need to do something. I like you a lot and I don't want you to DIE or anything. You have a lot of options but you need to TAKE them and you need to take them soon before you lose your chance. For someone who expressed willingness to sleep on a lawn in a tent you are being awfully inflexible.

This.

Also when I was homeless I spent a week living in a 1993 Chevy LeBaron Convertible (with the top all poked full of holes and scratched to hell). If you insulate the windows and doorjams with blankets you will be far more warm than simply wrapping yourself in them. You have to be careful to let in air occasionally though or else you'll suffocate on CO2.

I used the bathrooms at the beach, and the ones at 7-11 after dark. As long as you move the truck to another desolate location every 12 hours or so you shouldn't get into any police trouble. (This was particularly important for me since I didn't have a DLicense yet lol)

Buying a couple bucks' worth of matches and two empty coffee cans is more valuable than all the gold in England when you're hungry. Put your food in one can, some dry leaves in the other. Poke holes in the sides of the can on the one with dried leaves, then light the leaves on fire. Place the food can on top, and cover it with something (perforated!).

Voila, portable non-electric microwave.

Living in that car was the worst week of my life. Mostly trying to sleep was the worst. The sounds of the cold night when you're in some derelict park near the train tracks ... Are extremely scary. Especially around 2-3am. I still have nightmares about it sometimes.

Just do your best to stay out of that situation, Atemu.

Whoa V you're like a modern day Mcgayver [[spelling?]] I never would've thought for a microwave.

And there is always a various form of Militia.

Thats always my last option if theres nothing left.

Sure its signing away your life in a way but it will give you some structure and some other things.

It might be what you need to get your life in order actually.

Just throwing things out there.

(I'm not gonna stop recounting my horrible stories of homeless Ven until you convince me that you're not going to wind up in that situation, 'temu!!!!)

Por que no?

Or prostitution...

Doing something is better than just giving up.

[[don't take the prostitution thing serious.]]

*sigh*

Well, yeah.  So, tonight I had to call dad down to the grocery store because my key got stuck in the lock on my truck (tends to do that when it's buttfucking cold outside).  After he heard the crap my mother just put me through in e-mails (I'm not repeating it, just suffice to say as far as I'm concerned the only mother I have is my step mom), he pretty much told me if I don't start moving my stuff into his house, he was going to drag me kicking and screaming over to his place.  So, yeah, I know he actually would drag me, so I'm going to dad's willingly.  But I need to find a place to put my cats.  I'm going to try my high school friend first, of course, but if she can't... I dunno.  I don't want to give them up, but I need to find a place for them to go that would preferably give me a chance to get them back when I'm ready (and maybe even visit them before I can take them back, 'cause god this is gonna kill me).

So, um... if my friend can't, if anyone lives in PA or the Tristate area and doesn't mind putting up two cats for a month at the (hopefully) most, 'ya know... PM me, we'll work something out.  My cat's are very well behaved little babies (seriously, they act like children sometimes); I'll pay for food and litter and everything else they may need.  Anything to ensure their safety.

As for donations, I thank everyone that reached out to help me and met the $300 I set out.  I can't begin to describe how floored I am by everyone's generosity, I really can't.  If you really insist to send money, though, I will return the favor, such as if you need a sprite artist or just an artist for a game you're working on; we'll work something out.

I'll be all right, I guess.  I didn't want it to work out like this, but... well, dad said he's already been talking to his lawyer, so she's not going to get away with this crap for very long.

Well see there you go!

While you were afraid or whatever the reason being your father had your back the whole time!
Alls well that ends well.

But I don't know you better have some pretty good evidence to put against the landlady from hell because by all right she can sue you for the time you stayed in her house AFTER you left your job.

But just get a damn good lawyer and you should be alright in the end of it all.

G'luck and best wishes.

I have three years worth of pictures detailing the extent of the disgusting conditions of the house, the fact that the house hasn't been inspected in 7 years, and the fact that she doesn't have a landlord's permit; plus there's the theft of property, destruction of property, and general asshatery that she and her grandkids put us through.

She'll be going down.  Hard.

This isn't the first time this has happened to someone I know, so I know how shitty it is.
Although he's sixty thousand dollars in debt.
