if you really set to ebay'ing you could have a downpayment/1st mo's rent on an apt in less than a month.

Well, I obviously don't have time for ebaying and shit now.

Tomorrow I'm going down to Health and Welfare to tell my caseworker my situation, as well as try and go to the housing authority and see if they can do something to get me a place to live.  Beyond that, I don't know what I'm going to do.

and btw, no I can't "just crash on my father's couch".  For one, it's a tiny fucking thing, for another, my step mother gets up at 3:30 to go to work, while my father gets up at 5:30.  It's not gonna work.

Atemu ilu and all but yer parents goin to work at early hours doesnt seem like something that would stop me from sleeping on the couch if i were in yer predicament. I mean maybe it's the filipino in me, but I would sleep on the floor if I was about to be homeless, it's better than sleeping outside. I mean I can't really tell you what to do and in no way can I force you to listen to people, but I would really REALLY REALLY just go to his place and deal with being uncomfortable.

Maybe there's something you're not telling us, but on the surface without any deeper info than "small couch" and "they wake up early", it just sounds like you're being stubborn in a time when you should be choking down humble pie :/

Also, cruise around the local fire halls/hospitals/paramedics places.  At least the firehall near me has a lounge with beds, maybe they could take you in for a little bit (and I'm from PA, there's gotta be more firehalls like that in the state than just here).

I didn't say she could, but she was someone I could have tried to negotiate with.  She has three kids, four dogs, two cats, and a drunk father though, so... yeah.

And... the only fire anything I know of is the fire station in Stroudsburg, and they barely have enough room for one truck.  I can't imagine them actually having a lounge, let alone a lounge they'd let any bum rest in.

I really wish I could help you find a place to live, but I can't think of anywhere besides what's been suggested.  I'd invite you to stay at my house, but I don't think my parents would be too happy if I asked them if one of my internet friends could crash here for a little while.  They're already paranoid that I might give out too much information about myself.  Of course, I'm like 300 lbs., so it's not like someone's going to carry me off, but they worry nonetheless.

However, my parents just got a new mattress for their king (maybe queen) size bed, and they were planning on giving away the old one.  If you're interested, you could probably have it.  I don't think we live too far away from you.  I'm not sure if you need or not, but I thought I'd ask.
