Cloverfield! (SPOILER ALERT!!!)

I saw an animated gif of the scene where you were right under the monster. Someone must have recorded it in theaters. There are also some good drawing of the monster at Deviantart.

I heard that some theaters gave people back their money if they got sick while watching and couldn't go back inside. I got a slight headache from the shaky-ness but did anyone really get dizzy from it?

ZOM FUCKING GOD GIMME THAT GIF. XD

I couldn't get the thought that I don't actually know what the monster looks like out of my head. I drew it. I had to, it is rough, at best, but gives you an idea of what it looks like.

it was done with a mouse, and like 10 minutes of free time, so don't hate me.

Soon we will all know exactly what it looks like when hasbro releases the toy.  May be the best chance of seeing it in full detail.  But nice sketch kojo, I think you have a good idea of what it could look like.

The look of the monster was actually my least favorite part of the movie..sadly..it's sorta weird...but the lil creepers it dropped were cool.

I have seen it today and I found no problems with the shaky camera...I was in the last row though.

For those who want to know how the monster looks, it is a very weird monster, but it is ugly as sin (in the face). And no it doesn't look like godzilla like Kojo has drawn. It is really really ugly.

And I stayed untill the end of the credits and I heard something in the very end, but I couldn't understand what it was. Does anyone have a clue?

Great movie!

I just saw the movie a few hours ago, and it was...awesome!  :thumb:

My only complaint was that the guy, Rob, was really really really stupid. Who in the world decides it's a good idea to run into a subway, getting RIGHT BETWEEN the monster and the military shooting at it in the process. He was so focused on getting to his girlfriend that it seemed it didn't really actually care that he was putting everyone else in danger

I especially liked the camera-point-of-view thing though. It makes you feel like you're there while everything is happening. I'd like to know exactly what the monster is, though it's nice some random military person or scientist didn't just pop up and start explaining things. The fact that no one, even the people trying to kill it, knew what it was made the movie seem very realistic.

Here's a link to a close still up shot of the monster (screaming), for the curious: http://cloverfield.despoiler.org/images ... nster3.jpg

I, for one, liked it.

I really liked it.

But it was very unpleasant to watch. Do NOT sit in the third row!

I would have liked it better if the ending wasn't so... predictable. I mean seriously. What is this new hollywood kick with "OOOH EVERYONE DIES!!! EVERYONE!!!"

It would have sucked shit if everyone hadn't died. The whole point (for the characters) of the camera was that they were documenting what happened in the event they didn't survive to tell the story from their perspective. If they;d survived that just goes out the window.
