You could also use a browser frame, Mozilla has something for that or you could toss together a small webkit frame with webkitgtk
Unfortunately iFrames are deprecated and not all browsers are webkit :[

Thanks to Amy Pond  for refering this to me. I never even knew there was a construct game program?

 A 300 dollar gift card...to where?

Does it work well with Google Chrome? :robot:

Yes, HTML5 games work in Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Internet Explorer 9-10+, as well as other various WebKit-based browsers.

Technically, yes, but you will be losing money. PayPal takes out 2.9% of total amount sent plus $0.30. So if we sent you $300, they'd be taking out approx. $9 from that.
I don't like giving companies money just to transfer numbers from one database to the next. Plus, PayPal is kind of an asshole of a company.
{Outside of the U.S., there are additional fees as well!}

However, if PayPal is the most convenient for you, and you don't mind losing some of the money due to transfer costs, we can send you the money via PayPal as well.

It's all about making YOU happy, baby.

Awesome Bro

Decided that since I've got a little more spare time now, I'll have a bash at this... I have NO idea how to use it though... but meh I'm sure I'll make SOMETHING

I'm starting to really like this program.. but the problem is the lag ): when I run it in Chrome (newest version, alpha) it lags rediculously, and idk what to do about it. There's no way I can make a game like this

could be my computer... i've had issues with lag in other things before, specifically minecraft

I exported the game and ran it in chromium and it ran perfectly smooth without lag...

Wow, this contest seems quite interesting!

I've already started taken a bash at Construct 2 recently; I guess I'll join this contest and see what kind of game I can come up with in about a week or two!

One question: If we use engines created for Construct Classic/2 in our game that were developed before March 3rd, 2012, are we allowed to use them?

I'm probably not going to, as I think creating an original game will probably fare in this contest well than fan games and relying on engines someone else made instead of creating them yourself, because that is the point of this contest, right? To experiment with Construct 2.

Plus, it'll be more fun as well. I like fun.

EDIT: Hey, does anyone know if I can find sprites for heroes and enemies in the resource section?
If so, I'll be heading there soon. Right now, I'm only aware that they host RPG Maker resources there.

Sounds like a fun contest indeed... and another one I'll likely won't be able to compete in for time issues :/ That's too bad, as I think I got quite a few idea that I could maybe translate into interesting things here... nevermind the opportunity for some nice illustrations... ah well, maybe I can cut out those unnecessary hours of sleep I deign myself every night :)

But since that's not very likely to happen (yep, getting a little old here as well...), I wish all the competitors good luck... and of course, kudos to the hosts of the contest, as the range of prices is quite interesting and quite worth something!

Oh god, I'd almost forgotten about this. Time to hustle, I guess!

I'm still not entirely sure what I want to do. There's a general idea in my head, but I'm not sure if it's a three-week thing, y'know?

I'll listen to some chiptunes and rough it out. Hope you guys like robots.
