Best Video Game Ending?

No contest; that was simply the best ending to any game ever concieved.

Halo 2.

That has to be the best ending for a game ever!
I mean, I have read about people throwing their Xbox controllers at the screen (and breaking them too) because they wanted to "Finish the Fight"

Sets up for the next game perfectly, and freaks everybody out that they have to wait 2 years to finish the fight.

Well... that wasn't really my interpretation of the story but meh. Whatever.

Shadow of The Colossus did indeed have a kickass ending though. Ico's ending made me shed a tear.

Vagrant Story's ending was awesome, but every time I watch it... I want a VS2 T_T

Silent Hill 3 had the series best "Normal" ending IMO. Not so much the ending itself, but the revelations before the final battle and the last couple of twists. But then I just absolutely love the game.

Which is another awesome thing about the game; you can interpret most of the story the way you want it.

The way I saw things, Dormin was a god that the old people (the humans Emon represented) moved away from due to the nature of his being and they sealed him in the colossi so they could have their freedom. Wander stole the ancient sword and released Dormin's essence just so he could revive his lost love; a noble quest indeed but one that could have put the entire world at jeapordy. His punishment was suitable; he released a great evil for a personal goal and he had to live with his "curse" until Ico destroyed Dormin's essence which existed in the Queen.

Atleast, that's how I view the entire story. That's my interpretation and I think it makes sense.
