I won't force my kids to accept my belief, I'll tell them the story of Santa Claus and Jesus and I'll let them choose what they think to be real. After that I'll tell them the kid my beliefs and what I belief and that's that. I believe no one should really impose Santa or religion on their child but rather let the child make the decision.
False hope? It's called magical wonder and imagination. Most of the world shares this. You do what you want with your kids. Spoil their childhood and make them jaded at the world. Why should I care? But, I will allow my daughter to believe as long as she wants. She loves the idea and I love seeing her happy and excited. Nothing wrong with that.rexxzecutioner":3br0byp5 said:Why give them that false hope in the first place, but instead they should get joy that you as loving parents gave it to them.

Honestly. Getting the big gift from Santa had more impact, honestly. My mother get's me x-mas and birthday presents. She also cooks for me, and is something I can see. She's there every day. Santa? Kind of seems magical and opens that "what if there's more than what you can see everyday" possibility in my head, at least.
