Ad Lucem

Feedback: Ivah Fay.... anorexic? Kinda odd to be 19 and 120 pounds, scratch thatttttt, shes a woman xD. I think this looks great, awesome mapping, nice character descriptions, lovin it'
Gah, I hate doing that, I'll fix that.
I find that Ivah Fay is the most original character that I came up with. On the outside, she's looks like the generic cleric that appears in most generic RPG's, but she has the ability to beat you up to a pulp if she wanted to. I had a lot of fun making her character.

Announcement: A website for my project is now in development!

O0o0o A latin title. I take Latin so I know that it says "To the light."
Lucem, being the accusitive form
Ad, or to, being nomanitive.
:) I like the title.
your mapping is pretty good, and I am glad you are using Inquistor's sprite, because the defaults are just...Ugly

Thanks! I liked the title as well. I was avoiding the whole "Tales of Another Generic RPG" title. :)
I am glad the mapping is great, I enjoy to do it. I felt that the Inquisitor's tileset sets the appropriate atmosphere for my project.
Update: I actually have an ?Antagonist?'s biography up.
Comments?

Not to be rude, but I would prefer that you not post questions like that here. It belongs in the resource analysis section. I only want feedback for my project's progress.

OK,but is there any download link to your game?I can't seem to find it...and nice dimming it's quite good  :thumb: and COOL mapping....

Well, your drawn protagonist looks an awful lot like the "Typical RPG" hero.
Like a Crono and Cloud lovechild.
Oh, and Goku.
And every other anime's main character.

But i digress.
The concept of escaping RPG stereotypes will either
lead you to boring or absolutely daft plotlines.
You have to realize, but not embrace, that you
ARE indeed using an RPG-based system.

Don't let your longing for an original storyline
lead you to a completely ridiculous one, please.

Awesome Bro

Great start, it seems that it's been a while since any major developments, such as any word on demos...It seems you've also developed your story pretty well, fleshed out what you want...I honestly think that you should release a demo...soon! Oh, and maybe add more screen shots, if your not willing to do a demo. I want to see more of your Nidoia!

Sure thing! More screenshots and character artwork will come soon! I am going to flesh out more aspects of Nidoia as well. About the design of Elias: I have him dressed that way, because it's the fashion of his time. He's not the swordsman that you'd expect him to be, but a fencer, like the ones you see in movies such as "The Three Musketeers". Many of his techniques will be based off of actual fencing movements.
I am working on a demo currently; I really want you guys to get a taste of my project so far. However, I have been busy with school.
I am glad that you guys think that it's coming along well, I have put forth a considerable amount effort into this.
Update: New Character!

I somewhat agree with this. I do think what you have so far is great, but remember- some things are generic because they work well. Don't try too hard to escape all things that may seem overused.

Update: Completed the all the short bio's for every playable character.
Comments? Please point out anything you like or don't like.

Wow, second update today.
Major Update!
A revised character art of Elias is up, along with Jason von Ludwig's official art!!

Update! Marius' artwork is up. How is the art? I really want to know whether or not it is good. Any comments on the playable characters? >.>

Update: Shila Hamon's official art is posted.
Err, is anyone liking how this is coming along?
I'd love some constructive criticism...

Note: Sorry for the many posts. @_@

This looks awesome. The graphics look nice and I'm glad how deep you are digging into it with each character as well as avoiding things that I disliked about other RPG's. :D Can't wait to see more.

Thanks! Do you like the art? More is coming.
Yeah the drawings are great, and I like the cutscene idea. I'm def giving this game a go when the demo and final game is finished. Please do post more as it comes :D
