I always figure the majority of the members here are American or British, but I'm wondering how much of a majority it actually is.

So what country do you CURRENTLY live in?

(I don't care if you've lived there for only 1 year, what country do you live in NOW).

Also post it here if you would so prefer. To make it more interesting:

- What do you like about your country?
- What do you dislike?
- What country would you live in, were you given the choice?
- What country would you/do you like to visit?
- If you're not a native English speaker, where/how did you learn to speak English?

Lastly if your country is not listed up there, just hit one of the 'Other's that correspond to your continent. Because I'm only going to put up countries I assume are the most frequent, I'm not about to post all 195 countries to make the one person in MADAGASCAR or LUXEMBOURG feel better.

P.S. Yes I know the U.K. also includes North Ireland but I only want to know about Britain OR Ireland.

P.S.S. No rassict shits or I'll do something horrible to you >8|

The United States of America is the only country that exists. History up until and including World War II is mostly true, as you imagine. However, the atomic bomb that the United States of America dropped on "Hiroshima" was actually a series of atomic bombs, dropped throughout the world. This was a plan that the Illuminati conceived of, using the second World War as its vessel to reach the New World Order (for more information on the Illuminati and the NWO, there are numerous web resources. This is a tangent to my topic, so I will not go into detail). Most of the world was destroyed and contaminated, leaving America (and some surrounding areas) to be the only inhabitable landmass.

But but I live in Antarctica :(

I'm from England, Britain.

- What do you like about your country?
The fact other people dislike it, when it's obvious their places are just as bad. I mean, sure we have gun crime, pollution, etc. But we don't have the vast wastelands, the slummy ghettos, the extremely racist sectors, etc.

- What do you dislike?
West Bromwich.

- What country would you live in, were you given the choice?
Actually, probably England. Either that or New Zealand.

- What country would you/do you like to visit?
New Zealand, as I have relatives (be they distant) living there.

Some info 'bout Britfagland for you:

Smoking is now 18, as is drinking.
Driving is currently 16 (with L plates) and 17 to take your test. I think it's 16 and so many months, but I'm not sure. This is about to raise to 21.
Petrol here costs £1.18 per liter, which works out about $14 a gallon (I think). Diesel is even more at £1.32 per liter.
Our main supermarket is Tesco, followed I think by Sainsburies (our oldest Supermarket) and then possibly Morrisons (who aqcuired Safeways a few years back).
The average wage is said to be around £16,000 a year.
University fees have a max of £3145 (or something like that) per year, for three years. This is payed for by a student loan, of which you don't pay anything until you are earning £16,000 (I think) and it's paid off after 25 years if you still haven't done so. The max fee is raising the year I start uni however.

School leaving age is currently 16, but this is changing to 18 (I think it already has, affecting those currently starting High School).

Age 4-5 is the start of Primary School. Infants is years Reception, One, Two. Juniors is Three, Four, Five, Six. At year 6 a child is aged 10-11, and leaves Primary School.

Age 10-11 is therefore the start of secondary school, which is currently years 7, 8, 9, 10, 11.

After this is college or sixth form, for two years (years 12 and 13).

After that is uni. Years 12-13 are now compulsory (as said before).

We have SATs (Standard Assessment Tests) in Year 2, Year 6, Year 9. GCSE's take place Year 10 and Year 11. A-levels take place either at college or sixth form.

We drive on the left hand side of the road here.

It is illegal to smoke in public enclosed places, as of 1st April 2007. Not an April Fools Joke. It's kinda funny watching them standing outside work in the rain just to have a fag. :)

Britain is ran by the Prime Minister, currently leader of the Labour Party (Gordon Brown). Labour are now a minority government, and aren't even the opposition, in that Conservatives and Liberal Democrats now have more seats in Parliament. Parliament is split into the House of Commons and the House of Lords. This is similar to Congress and Senate (I think), except the Lords are NOT voted for by the public (they gain the seat from their father, it's hereditary like AIDS except AIDS doesn't make you wear a stupid wig).

UK money comes in the form of:
£50 note
£20 note
£10 note
£5 note
£5 coin
£2 coin
£1 coin
50p coin
20p coin
10p coin
5p coin
2p coin
1p coin

p stands for Penny.

All our currency features the Queen, Elizabeth II, who is the oldest reigning monarch in British history (though not the longest reigning, which was Queen Victoria I).

Our "bills" (we call them notes) feature famous faces, such as Charles Darwin. Take that, "In God We Trust", our currency's worth more.

The capital of Britain is London, which houses 10% of the population.

That all the info you need for your nukes, US?

USoA, baby!

- What do you like about your country?
Uh, about the only things I can think of is the history (not including the wild west - i can't stand that era) and the bill of rights.

- What do you dislike?
Gas prices.  Yes, I know it is higher elsewhere in the world but when I started driving it was about $2.799USD a gallon, and now it ranges from $3.799USD (on the almost non-existant good days) to $4.159USD (the much more likely bad days) where I am, and my parents remember when it was less than$0.50USD a gallon almost thrity years ago.

I also don't much like the politics.

- What country would you live in, were you given the choice?
UK.  I don't know why, but I absolutely love the British.  From the funny way they talk, to all the awesome books from there, I am infatuated with the UK.

- What country would you/do you like to visit?
More cities than countries:
Paris
London
Brussels
Venice
Rome
Berlin
Cairo
Moscow
Tokyo
Athens
And several others

Yeah, big list.  I know.

I would have said that except my Japanese is limited to "konichiwa", "sayonara", "arigato", and "kamehameha".  No clue if I spelled any of that right.

XD This is awesome, Luxembourg was mentioned! It is a rare occurance! I live there you know, and I have for all my life! It is an awesome country, because you always meet people you know when you go out, and it is never too far to get to a different country, and not to forget that Luxembourg has the highest GDP per capita in the world!

I'm Amerikermese. Tampanian, Floridifer.

- What do you like about your country?
I like that MY COUNTRY KICKS YOUR COUNTRY'S ASS
I also like being a police of the world.
Finally, I like how I only have to drive my HUMMER H2 1 block to find 10,000 restaurants serving all food from round the world for low, low prices.

Lastly, our movies and TV shows are better than yours. and our women are better looking.
there i said it

@Darkfire : Our gas is still some of the cheapest in the world honey

- What country would you live in, were you given the choice?
Probably here. Most other places suck ass. However I would consider Italy a lovely place to live (if I knew Italian).

- What country would you/do you like to visit?
Italy, South Africa, Nippon (I LIKE THEIR FOOD), Peru, the U.K., and probably anywhere outside the warring nations of Africa and the Middle East.

--Whoa, I NEVER saw that coming, I swear! :D
I bet Luxembourg IS nice. I mean, only rich people live there, so it has to be :]

im from Australia.
i like everything about Australia, the fact that we are world champions at cricket, rugby league, netball (i think), the motoGP champion comes from Australia, as does the world champion for surfing (both male and female). We have numerous people who have held various swimming world records.

I dislike nothing about Australia.

I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. even if you paid me.
I would like to visit southern Europe though.

Ireland ftw.

- What do you like about your country?

Underage drinking is socially acceptable. We have Gaelic (Its like extra violent rugby) Hurling (It's like...uh...screw it just watch for yourself http://youtube.com/watch?v=AM-kB1e96CA , that explains it, the description in the video calls it "'field hockey in the air,' 'brutal field hockey,' 'like lacross but with solid sticks' etc.")
All the drinking leads to lots of sex. Also we've got some pretty decent traditional music.

- What do you dislike?

Fat american tourists who think they're Irish.

- What country would you live in, were you given the choice?

I'm assuming that Ireland isn't an option for this since I already live here so I'm gonna say Australia.

- What country would you/do you like to visit?

Antarctica, it would be cool to go there, just so I can say I've been.

- If you're not a native English speaker, where/how did you learn to speak English?

I kind of am a native english speaker, I learned both english and Irish at the same time while I was growing up.

Australia forever.
- What do you like about your country?
The fact that it's Australia. and Meat Pies.

- What do you dislike?
That implies there is a something bad about Australia. I challenge you to a duel.

- What country would you live in, were you given the choice?
Australia. But just next door instead. That, or like Dr. No's Pacific Lair.

- What country would you/do you like to visit?
Prolly Italy, or England.

For now I live in Israel.. :'(

What do you like about your country?
I think the only thing I do like is the south area of Israel where the area looks like the wild west :D

- What do you dislike?
The people.. X.X

- What country would you live in, were you given the choice?
Probably US or UK. No I haven't been given a choice XD

- What country would you/do you like to visit?
I never acutally thought about it. If only visiting then I think Egypt. Oh! and Japan -__-

- If you're not a native English speaker, where/how did you learn to speak English?
School and mostly from TV. Im the top student in english =D

So what country do you CURRENTLY live in?

The country I live in is mofo England, I just wanna reiterate that, UK is not a nationality.  It's a "duh duh duh" Kingdom.  (It's okay for where you live polls Venetia :), you don't wanna waste time typing things like 'Wales' out...)

I've also lived in Florida for 5 years before.  Orlando, Daytona and some Ormond Beach or something like that.

- What do you like about your country?

Quite a lot.  Our laws of being able to drink and fuck legally where you like and when you like at a decent age. (okay within reason).  I like our binge drinking culture and I like getting fucked up at weekends.  Obviously I'd rather this didn't go hand in hand with the stabbings / assaults / anti-social behaviour etc but it obviously will.  I like we don't have to pay privately for healthcare, I like our sense of humour and our comedy and for the most part I like our people.  Girls are often stuck up but I'd guess that's the same everywhere.

- What do you dislike?

Lapdog governments with no spine and their heads implanted in the US presidents arsehole.    Pathetic border control and an influx or immigrants who have no respect for our culture and society and who demand we all change for them.  At christmas they don't want us to put up trees and during the world cup we can't put out England flags because we are being racist.  Meanwhile no one can speak up because that's racist too.  Meanwhile our builders are erecting their mosques (etc) and you can't walk into some foreign areas without being victimised.  But that's okay cause it's not racist if they are white and English.  Double standards?  I also don't like we have to pay so much fucking more for everything.  I know this isn't Luxembourg or Moscow but jeez, ripoff.

- What country would you live in, were you given the choice?

Well here, but maybe Canada or Brazil.

- What country would you/do you like to visit?

Well I'll be visiting a load in one month but places I am not going... Japan mainly.
