What is the best PSone RPG ever?

Im my opnion is between Legend of Dragoon and FFVII, the most think i like in LoD is it's simplicity and capability of entertainig the player and also have good characters, and FFVII,well...it's FFVII.But as i said it's just my opnion.

What is your opnion?

Amusingly, we had a thread exactly like this! Unfortunately it was destroyed in the event that has come to be known as the Great Hack of 2006. We lost a lot of fine men in that war.

I'm personally not a giant fan of FF7 - it was influential, yes, but influential != best thing ever - and I LOATHED Legend of Dragoon, mostly because of the piss-poor translation job. I'd personally say Final Fantasy VIII, though. Or Vagrant Story.

It is not that i love FFVII, but you have to admit it, the game have a legion of fans, and this has bring more fans to all RPG kind, FFVII isn't my favorite, but it's influence over the players and creators as well, is something to be proud of.

I'll openly admit that, yeah. But in a COMPLETELY UNRELATED comparison that is sure to offend someone, Hitler had a lot of fans too and he was a bit of a dick, so.

I'll always think LUNAR Silver Star Story was the best. At least for me. Many people haven't even heard of it.

The whole FF series is overrated, but much like a grueling death scene in horror movie fashion, you can't look away.

My favorite has probably got to be a tie between Suikoden II and Final Fantasy Tactics. Well, Xenogears is up there too. But if I'd go by hours invested(or best system, you choose), FFT easily (over 1000). By rarity Suikoden easily, and by story then Xenogears. Pick one.

I'm not sure if it counts as one game or two, but Final Fantasy Anthology... FFV and FFVI combined... an incredible deal! I'd pay $30 for just FFVI alone; FFV was an added bonus!

The second disc of Xenogears ruins it. And everyone who has played it knows what I mean. The game was AMAZING until then. And then it seemed like, basically, the creators were like, "Hey guys, let's cut this game down by a few hours, I need to get home for dinner." Seriously, what a letdown. The best game, from start to finish, is Final Fantasy Tactics. Great battles, great story. They ruined it with FFTA, but that's for gba.

I thought Xenogears was pretty lame. Final Fantasy Tactics is good though.
