What is the best game you have ever played.

...Wow, this is hard for me...I have tons of favorites. First thing that comes to mind though is Earthbound...and then there's Portal...Super Mario World...Super Smash Bros. Melee (Even though Brawl is a lot better than Melee, it felt amazing playing Melee the first time. It was also the first time I played the GCN...good memories, I didn't get that feeling when I got Brawl)
Paper Mario 2 I also really like...that's all I can think of at the moment.

Aw man, am I the only one who HATED the 1st Shenmue? It wasnt terrible at all, but it was so repetitve. It drug on for too long. The only part I liked about it was the awesome exploration. The fighting ruined it.

Mother, Mother 2, Mother 3

and then the Kingdom Hearts series. Sure, the character design was strange and pretentious, the characters uninteresting, and the plot clearly inspired by a fifth-grade English assignment, but I really enjoyed the gameplay. Even the Gummi parts in II, where they took pains to make it less of a requirement and more interesting, were fun.

Of course, II sort of went overboard in some cases. I remember being Final Form Sora and spinning uselessly in the air for what must have been minutes after every enemy was dead, and the summons were flashy and took a lot of time but they were hardly worth using.

Then, um, Okage. Mostly for the character/enemy design. Everything else about it was fairly typical RPG.

Xenosaga. I've never played Xenogears, but I enjoyed what little of Xenosaga I played. Battles were fun, exploration was fun, avoiding enemies was fun. What more do you really need?

Chimmy, if you like Xenosaga, Xenosaga III was scores above. Of course, you have to get past the kind of crappy Xenosaga II, but hey - it's really not that bad.

Tales of Symphonia apparently awf8l according to fans... screw them.
Ratchet and Clank TOD Lovely game.
Jak and Daxter 1: I felt it lost it's platforming heritage after that, the platformer elements of the first were far better than the seqels.
Breath fo Fire 3 and 4
Rogue Galaxy - was su8prisngly quite good - why the fuck is my keyboard typing 8's...

The fighting was the best part. :D Strictly anti button mashing. Its more of a story than a game, to be honest.
