What console are YOU gonna get?

I have been wanting a DS for myself for sometime now. 
But there arent special days for my parents to have a reason on buying me one.. And hey, im turning 18, i just have to earn or work for it myself...
I like to get the DS (someday) coz the games and its interactivity is fun. Its rechargeable, its portable, its light, and its ballpoint pen that scratches and leaves inkmarks on the touchscreenD).......
I got interested in this when our class was discussing about PRESSURE SENSORS in touchscreen monitors, i was amazed of the technology and hey, i am amazed of the games!!! POKEMON PEARL!!!

Also: I got an Xbox360, even though personally I'd prefer a Playstation just for Metal gear solid and Devil may cry, I just got an Xbox because my brother in Korea has one, and it'd be nice to play me some online games with him. (though the time zone difference really kind of hampers that front)
I don't play XBox or Nintendo game consoles. Period. So of course it will be PS3. I play modernistic games, which are more native to PS and Xbox. I just don't really like the Xbox controllers. I was a fan of the SNES controller style and guess what system has the closest emulation :P

I find it funny that one would say the PSP is a 'Gameboy' rip off. Its called a handheld, you can't rip off a handheld. Its like a console. If we were to say that the PSP is a rip off of the Gameboy, we would have to say Nintendo is a rip off of Atari. Not to mention the PSP is a far superior system to ANY of the Nintendo's handhelds. So a rip off? No way. Its marketing. By that logic, everything would be a rip off.
With that said, I'm going with PS3 on this one. I was REALLY interested in the Wii for a while, then my friend got one. So i was expecting some awesome unique game play! The controller pisses me the hell off >O even after around 7 hours of gameplay, the controller was still driving me nuts! And anyone who says Nintendo is actually being original and isn't doing like Microsoft and Sony by remaking a system; is pretty much wrong. Look at the Wii, it doesn’t even have NEAR the power of the next gen systems. That doesn’t make it a bad system from the start; but if you look at it, its a freakin' gamecube with a new controller. That’s ALL it is.
Microsoft, ATM, and so far, I see none in the future that wont also be on the PS3; any games I am interested in. Neither does the Wii for that matter. The reason I go with sony most of the time, is because of their HUGE library. Their past two systems, plus the PSP, have proven they have great support. Where as the other systems, I do my HARDEST to find good games for them; but can't. Sure, I find games OTHERS would enjoy; but me? None.
PS3 just came out, so of course it doesn’t have any games at the moment. But I already see a good 5 within the next year or two that I HAVE to have. So within a year, when they've worked out all the bugs, I'm getting me one! And waiting till the 360 and the Wii actually release some games worth buying.
I don’t think they are bad systems by any means; but they just don't have the games. The Gamecube had to be one of my favorite systems, but it only had a good 5ish games I enjoyed extensively. While the PS2 had a good 30 or so. I am just going off the games; because why else do you buy a system? The exclusives.

why? because it's not a handheld gaming system. it has the internet and music and movies and all that bullshit. the nintendo ones are MUCH better, and that's not only because of the price and the fact that they PLAY VIDEO GAMES, but mostly because of the library of games that play on them
(and don't lol homebrew emulation with me because emulation doesn't count if you're fucking emulating gameboy games on a PSP that's not a very good argument for the PSP's superiority)

Which look BEAUTIFUL on a screen that size. An online game play that, lets face it; is great, for people who love to challenge others in ACTUAL games, rather than things like Tetris. The next generation should offer you more for your buck. Not only is it only 80 dollars more than the DS (which, I'm sure that gap used to be much less. What did the DS start at? 150 or even more?) but all that it gives you... I look at how little the DS gives you for a slightly lower price, and then I look at the PSP. That’s where handhelds should be going.
I don't homebrew. Not up for emulation. I only want official games; that I either buy through their network, or I buy at the store; preferably the store, i love shinny cases and stuff not taking up room on my memory card. And I wouldn’t even think of emulating gameboy games. Because I don’t like any of them =D

As for handhelds, the implication that the PSP's ability to play music or some such makes it a bad handheld is crap. For one thing, I own every game I want for both handhelds and I have twice as many PSP games as DS games. (Though the gap has been closing with the release of Yoshi's Island DS and a few others.)
I have a PS3 right now, and I'm saving for a 360. I'm not interested in a Wii at the moment.

well this is just IMO. theres that Fall of man game, Ridge Racer 7 and Untold Legends 3. 360 only has Gears of War witch is like coming to the PC. and Wii only has TP and i can get that on my gamecubearcthemonkey;141999 said:
