survival horror doesn't require tons of blood, in my opinion. there's nothing that's actually scary about a big bleeding zombie -- Splatterhouse is a great example. it's more about the potential of harm than the harm itself. exactly how you work around it is up to you, but just don't feel like you'll be crippling yourself by removing gore from your interpretation of the genre.
and I've never heard of it. is it anything like Unity3D?
