Keep in mind that Vista was made for high end PCs, hence the DirectX10 (for "almost PS3" graphics), and how future Vista specific graphic cards will have their own bit of ram to help run games without having to turn off the desktop.
Also, quite a useful thing actually, they've invented a peice of technology which will be implimented in future laptops (obviously ones which come with Vista as standard), which allows you to browse and view files via a small moniter at the back of the laptop without having to startup your laptop (this would namely be used to view calendars, notes and other important business info).
