Din you read my first post? I saw some pred's but I couldn't get a good pic D:

There were like 9 bajillion keyblades and buster swords at Megacon XD

Were they made out of metal?

Most looked like they were made outta wood but yeah quite a few were metal. Some of them pretty impressive. There was also a stand selling them for a pretty penny. If your friend can make them he could make a killing at a con.

Metal... I'm guessing they took a metal sheet and ground it down to an edge, right? Actually forging a Buster Sword in the old ways would be brutal.

Yeah, I thought Buster Swords and Keyblades would be cool to have until I saw the number of people that worship Sora and Cloud as deities and role models. One actually goes to my school. It's kind of... eh. As it stands, pig masks and yellow-and-blue-or-red-striped shirts are much cooler. Now if only I had a way to simulate PK Fire, Thunder, Ground, LOVE, et cetera. I spent my time waiting for a ride learning the hand movements. The technique of getting fire to shoot from my hands and explode still eludes me.

(If I did get it down, I'd go straight to the Cloud-spawn and make him jealous. "Materia!? Ha! Try the power of LOVE instead! You stay here, I'm gonna go pull some needles.")

I'd have loved to see the FLCL costume   Also, Ven, what's with the near total lack of "my boyfriend told me if I wore this people would say I was hot, I think I'm an elf or something" pics, I thought you were bi!

Oh no the Buster Swords, I saw one that looked like two pieces of slightly curved sheet metal welded together, but the others were like plastic or something. I saw a lot of metal keyblades though. I don't know how jack about metalworking but these were definitely a metal of some sort. I saw a vendor selling them, too, she was painting them in the booth between customers, and inlaying jewels and stuff.

Pretty neat on its own, but at a Con, it's like wearing an Akatsuki robe: Just. Not. Original.

What, me dress up? Naah. I'd only probably consider dressing as either a sexy sith of some sort, or Lara Croft, or something (NEVER an elf), and before that happens I'd need a tan, and judging from the 23 years I've been alive, I'd say that has an icecube's chance in hell of happening.

Like I said though I will dress up for the Ren Faire I'm going to on the 29th, I love corsets :3

Anyways, I've never been to a con, but I have always wanted to go.  If I did, I think I would dress up as either a jedi (with a handmade lightsaber hilt), or as Rand al'Thor from the Wheel of Time series.

Hey I saw some guy who was walking around dressed like a ninja, where he had extremely long pants over stilts, and he had like a demonic mask on. Anyone have any idea who that might be? He was like 12 feet tall, it was really impressive. I just had no clue what he was sposed to be.
