Thanks so much for playing and I'm glad you enjoyed it! The answer to how I got the project together is "six years." The project has sat in stagnation for at least an entire year while trying to fill one spot or another (especially artist and composer). It took a lot of patience, really. I'm really glad you enjoyed everything; I'll be sure to pass your compliments on to everyone else involved.leppy":1w5sx2kl said:I just spent my entire day playing Act II when I really should've been studying for a test tomorrow.
But I regret nothing!!!
My god, this game is amazing! All of it impresses me. How did you even manage to get together a project like this? Doing a project like this is my dream! The music, the art, the storyline... It all goes together so well. I love stories, and I especially love well-rounded characters. The characters in this game are brilliant. They each have such great personalities, and I absolutely love the bits of humor scattered throughout.
I am looking forward to Act III so much!!
I have a few quick questions... The title is "Vacant Sky Vol. 1"... Does this mean there's going to be more volumes even after all three of these acts are complete?? I sure hope so!
My second question is, how does unraveling the three mysteries in different orders change the storyline? Is it mostly minor changes, or are there some major scenes that are different?
I'm a big fan of this game, and if you ever need a beta tester or anything I'll be more than willing to help! Keep up the amazing work!!

Also, double thanks for sitting through Act I. It was my first game and I really didn't know what I was doing when I made it. I'm glad you got through Act I; Act II is something I'm genuinely proud of (and Act III even moreso). I notice that you haven't posted here before. Might I ask how you heard about the game?
1) There are planned to be further volumes, yes. There's more story planned than I could possibly make games out of, so we'll see what the future holds. Really, it comes down to whether or not I have artists to collaborate with.
2) In the current version of Act II, it doesn't have a large impact upon the storyline except what information you receive. Certain conversations play out differently. The biggest change is whether or not you have Rien when you speak to Prof. Salvador. The interlude scenes between each mystery also change depending upon the order and foreshadow events to come. If you haven't seen the one with Vel, it's one of the most relevant scenes to Act III.
Yup, you probably did. You see Vel's scene if you do either Viadahn or Ciel first.leppy":4yrfbwo2 said:Sailerius":4yrfbwo2 said:Thanks so much for playing and I'm glad you enjoyed it! Ah I loved Act I! Act II is definitely superior, but I found the first act very enjoyable, and it made me more interested in getting through the rest of the story. Well... I'm kind of a long-time lurker for rpgmaker projects XD And I looked at this one a long long time ago, and I randomly remembered it yesterday and thought "did the other acts ever come out?" Turns out I checked up on this project in time to catch the last installment! Looking forward to next week!
Hmm the order I went in was 1) Ciel 2) the Orkan city and 3) U.N. So I did have Rien when speaking to Prof. Salvador. I can't remember if I saw the one with Vel... do I have to go in a different order to see it?
Yup. If all goes well, I'll be pushing it out tonight at midnight EST.leppy":1am6uycz said:This is still coming out tomorrow, right? Ahh I want to play it NOW. T_T
Have you gone to Boris Island in the United Provinces yet?Thula":29b7q09y said:I think I'm aproaching the last part of Act II, but I'm quite lost. I guess that's the right place to ask for some help, I'll put it under spoiler just in case.
I'm in the Interphase part, I've completed all the quest minus the Virad artifacts collector's, I've been to Ciel, to Viadahn, to the Manor, to the Church, seen the night cutscene with Mia going crazy, and talked to everybody, but I'm stuck and can't procede.
(I chose to kill Vanquish, if that affects the storiline.)
So, what am I missing?
Thula, which characters are in your party right now?
Yes.Have you gone to Boris Island in the United Provinces yet?
You couldn't open the door where you fought the Arcane Guardian before. It should open now. Examine everything in there.Thula":1vr5q41s said:I am there as of now XD
I'll wander around more to see if I missed some detail C:
That's...really bizarre. I've never heard of anything like that. Did you unzip the game? Are you running it from a flash drive or something? It sounds like it got corrupt somehow. Consider redownloading?danyo34":2lg35n1v said:After you get control of Auria and go up the stairs, the screen turns black and never fades back in. I opened up the menu, which is quite good-looking by the way, and exited, then the screen faded back in correctly. I went back downstairs, and the same thing happened. I did the menu thing, but I couldn't move. I could access the menu to go to the save menu or to the hall of legends. I did the menu thing again, and Auria had moved somewhere else in the room. I repeated it, and she kept reappearing in random places throughout the room. I somehow used this teleportation to get where I needed to go. I accessed the door to Auria's room from the tile south-east of it, and she just stood next to the bed while some dialogue happened. The discussion with all of the party took place against a black background, then I got fed up. By the way, the picture in the back of the menu was just black, and the window to the left was still present as a windowskin box. I can't remember what it looked like before exactly.
Did anyone else run into this problem?
