What is Scrive?

Scrive is a online or offline(Version 3.0) Script database that lets you search through scripts for RMXP/VX and use in your game. With Scrive you get all the info you need for the script(from the Author to if the SDK is required) making it easy to put in your project without really needing to view the support topic. But the support topic is always there for you! With Scrive finding a script is easier then a google search or searching through 50 pages on a forum! With 5.0 just around the corner it will have over 100 scripts!

Scrive History

Scrive started in 2007 by RMXPirate as a very small program with nothing in it at all and only about 15 RMXP Scripts. The program then grew several times first in late 2007, then again in 2008 with 3.0 and soon late 2008 for version 4.5. Now in early 2009 5.0 Alpha has been released! Back then scrive was nothing like you see in 4.0 and even 5.0 is a big step from 4.0 series. The programmers and I are happy to see what Scrive has became!

It's a program filled with a few sprites and scripts so u don't have to search the forums online for them, This is a simplified way to find scripts (Alphabetical order)

It's looking good so far.

I'm sorry dive is under copyright so I cant send you the open source version but what I can do is... what is it you need to learn so that I may make a program with those examples in them  :thumb:

Nah it's a bug and a addon i was lookin to do.

The bug is the shark on the bottom, even when u turn him off, (The Tutor) His messages still show up when u hover over a spot and it's really annoying lol.

Aside of that, i was wondering if there is a way to add other scripts to it for personal use, so i don't have to have a huge mixed up folder unorganized, i could just add them to the Dive System.

Ah I see well I will talk to the boss about it lol and see what we can do ;). Also may I ask where did you turn the tutor off from was it the settings menu or the toolbar at top?

Edit: Nevermind I found out the problem and it is fixed now, thanks for pointing out that bug

;)

Let me know when u get an update out so i can download that one :P

A way to compile personal scripts into it for personal use would be awesome though so i don't have to keep this 5million page folder i could organize them with Dive easier.

Well I updated it and fixed the errors :D and Ill let you know if we can make a version like that we will call it Scripters Scrive lol Ill think of something catchy

As it takes time, we were only planning on releasing personal versions for groups companies, and I. Your are asking for a version which you may submit the scripts yourselves and the problems with that are.

1. It would give away our codes for other people to use and edit without our knowledge.

2. Then if scripts were put in their and share without the scripters knowledge then the repricution from that would be on us and not the person using it.

No what i was thinking was, make it, so the ones u put in the program are internal as they already are but maybe... when u want to add your own a thing pops up asking for the name and author, then paste script in script section and it doesn't save it into the program but into a seperate folder and reads it seperately for each users personal use. (So i can find my scripts easier.)

This would mean, anything in that EXTERNAL folder is not your responsibility as it is external and your program supports reading them but does not internally save the files, just reads that folder if u choose to load your own scripts to it.

for example, I would put in a script to read say...a battle script i used, if i sent the program to someone (I don't send programs just links cause i'm lazy) it would sent the .exe file in a zip but not the folder unless i manually put that folder in the zip file for the other user (That would hold me and me only liable). That would keep the legalities against the program creators at zero risk.

I think you post on wrong section, this is a visual application not rgss/rgss2 script. anyway do have the permission about using all their script

There allowing it to be in this section and yes I do, all scripters are asked if I there scripts can be used in the program before I add them.

If you actually read the first couple of posts you would know he stated he only uses the ones he was given permission to use.
