As it is though, you'd have to have some really shoddy moral compass to end up doing that as a job...

What if it became a legal job? Would it be discrimination in the workplace if a pretty prostitute got taken rather than a butt-ugly one...?

If prostitution became legal it would not have any discrimination. Everyone has their standards for the type of person they are attracted to. Some men like small breast. Others like fat women. Some women like men with small penises. Some women like bigger men. You get the point.

i think every point has been mentioned here. Brothel prostitution isn't as bad as street prostitution and they would generally be treated better. but with such high prices on these women(or men for that sake)bodies there would still be a need for lower priced (and inevitably) street rent-girls/guys.

moral of the story is this: no matter how more open minded we get, people will still revert back to dirty, underhanded jobs. i guess the only solution to kill off street prostitution would be to have law authorities focused specifically on the crime, which will in-turn take resources from other areas that need it.

A happy medium will have to do :D

Arguing that it's okay if she likes her job is a silly point of contention. Like any job, there are going to be people who love it, and people who hate it. Saying it's OK only if she enjoys her job is pointless. It's only OK when it's by choice, whether she enjoys it or not is of no relevance to whether it is acceptable.

Morals themselves are a questionable debate. Some say that you're a heathen if you don't believe in god, and you're worth less than pond scum. Granted that's irrelevant to this debate, but it's food for thought in debating topics related to morality, or right and wrong.
