The Worst/Most Boring Anime You've Ever Watched

For me the most boring anime I've ever watched was (some of you are going to hate me) Ghost In The Shell Stand Alone Complex. Oh my god is that THE most boring thing in the world. It's like 'let's watch a bunch of people stand around and talk.' That's it. That's the show. I actually made a contest out of it and once I actually finished an entire episode.

As for the worst anime I've ever seen I am going to say Ouran High School Host Club (i think that's what it's called). One of my GUY friends showed it to me and I was dumbfounded. Why would anyone waste their time watching it? It's like his favorite show, I just think it's really really lame.

Tie between DBZ and Pokemon.

DBZ - the plot progress makes a snail drowned in molasses look fast. Is there any other show where you can miss 15-20 episodes and pick right back up where you started? Not to mention the terrible characterization and predictable and repetitive plot.

Pokemon - I really hope I don't have to explain why this is so boring. Really.

Of the less well-known stuff, Jin-Roh made me want to tear my own eyeballs out. Angel Sanctuary made me want to hang myself with my retinal cords after tearing my eyes out.

LMAO! I COMPLETELY forgot about DBZ! Yeah, that's pretty bad. I even forgot to consider it anime! My fiancee was making fun of it the other day. "It takes like 10 f'ing episodes to power up. KYAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!" I remember when I was younger I liked the pokemon show (no, butterfree! or whatever that thing's name was). You have to admit, some of the are really cute. I find myself watching Inuyasha and going OMG, Kirara is so cute, I wish I had a plushie!

I actually liked Pokemon before it got old and every season they changed the main female character. Anyways, the most boring anime show I've ever seen? I dunno...Worst? Umm...yeah, I don't know.

EDIT: Oh wait.. Boring and WORST is Inuyasha. I want to hang myself. All they do is go around looking for Naraku screaming: "INUYASHA! KAGOME! INUYASHA! KAGOME!" Oh, wow, Kikyo STILL isn't dead? Oh, AND Naraku won't die EITHER?! Shocker! :D And man, that ending was the biggest piece of shit ever.

Most boring? That one episode of Hamtaro I had to watch when I was babysitting a neighbor's 5 year old daughter. I had to supress my yawns cause she'd hate for it to be interrupted (She was a genuine bitch even at that age).



Worst? Naruto. It's the most god awful piece of shit anime to ever roam the planet, and what makes it worse are the Narutards. "omg NARUTO ISH KEWL SUGOI" is like their mating call. But what I hate about the anime is that the story is slow, the action is lame, and there are times while watching it where I just want to sock that lame kid in the orange jumpsuit in the face. All the characters sucked (Actually, I'll make an exception. Rock Lee is ok, mainly cause his goofy belies his martial arts skills, which he uses to protect his crush. He's kind of like Chuck Norris, only less manly and without the beard of destruction.)

I hate Naruto, it is full of repetitive action and people fighting and killing somebody without touching them with anything, then they stand around explaining how the did it. Then the other person repeats what they said. Ewww.

The English Naruto Dub. From what my brother has told me, the Japanese original isn't so bad, mainly just because A. you can't tell how bad the voice acting is on everybody and B. the kid doesn't say 'Believe it' every 5 and a half seconds. Also yeah it's pretty boring to watch. The manga for it is pretty good though, I semi-enjoy reading that, since I don't have to wait for them to have a stare down between 5 word death threats followed by another stare down.

And I liked GITS, it was an intelligent show, where the talking was actually worth listening to, and everything was done well. Understandably a little dry, but hey, I like the story-lines they followed, and they painted a pretty fun looking picture of the future.

And that largely sums up the 4 animes I've watched (well, watched like 2 episodes of naruto, but I've still seen it)

Pokemon - ...
Sailor Moon - Never drawn to that crap, and never will be.
Mew Mew Power - Makes me want to bang my head against a wall.
One Piece - Too, frickin' slow. Plus they don't even act like pirates!
Sonic X - First few episodes were ok, other than that it stunk.
Kirby (English DUB) - 4kids raped, murdered, and tore this to pieces. Makes me want to see the Japanese version REALLY badly.

Naruto in Japanese was cool. Then they dubbed it. Now I hate it. I hate when they destroy stuff. I love full metal alchemist but they CUT STUFF OUT in the American version. Poorly too.

Yeah, Ghost in the Shell is okay. You may not like the talking but you got to understand that's part of the show and if you don't listen to it you won't understand what's going on.

DBZ is not bad, the progression is slow because they want to stress that power levels are not obtainable quickly. Which is pretty realistic. (Think of it, you work out hard and intense but you don't see results right away, same principle applies) I mean do you really want to watch an anime where the biggest bad guy in the whole thing is defeated in less then 15 minutes?

Anywho...

Most boring/worst anime: Can't really decide. I haven't watched anime in quite some time.

I'd say:

1) Transformers/Digimon (If Transformers can be classified as anime)
2) Pokemon
3) Fruits Basket
4) Bleach

Naruto isn't the worst, not great but not the worst. Yes it's repetitive and many times boring, but it does have nice character development (although most of them have similar pasts <.<). And the only version worth watching is the Japanese one. The english dubs suck. Actually, every dub sucks imo.
Dragonball...the only good one was the first series. DBZ and DBGT got repetitive and had many time wasted by episode. Like 5 minutes of episode looking at them staring each other in the eyes. The sagas are good thought.
Pokemon is the sucky. I liked Medabots (medabots rox ur sox) more than Pokemon, it's just too kiddy :\
There is another anime that I don't remember the name, man, that has got to be the worst thing ever, even if it's for kids. It's all about little RC Cars races that people in the anime's world treat as a serious sport. You have grown ups playing with RC Cars of the size of a hand! And it's very boring also.
Didn't see more awful animes I think...

Edit: Ah now that I read the recent posts:
Bleach- Everybody loves it, I can't find interest on it, and I do find interest on good animes when I see them. Hell, I can watch an entire episode of Pokemon and not Bleach, its just too boring...
Digimon- this one is the wtf of all animes. It was good at first but then after 5 equal seasons later it does get awfully boring and stupid.
Sailor Moon- Crap.
Mew Mew Power- Inspires suicidal acts. I mean, even little girls must think it's stupid.

America's standards are a bit too high. :/

At least some cut-outs are more reasonable then what 4kids did to Kirby of the Stars... I kind of made me depressed at what they did to the cute little puffball.

They changed the title to "Kirby: Right Back at Ya!"; they changed the name of Lololo and Lalala to Fololo and Falala; They didn't release episodes NOT because they were inappropriate for young audiences, but simply because it wasn't "action packed" and/or they clearly wanted to keep the show repetitive. They also changed the entire OST because they were too damn cheap to buy the Japanese music... Strange how that was the case when 4kids had the money to f*ck the rest of it up.

My best friend loves Naruto (he watched the Japanese ones) and I've always found Pokemon okay. I used to like Digimon when I was quite a lot younger... Ehh... Now it seems horid...:P

Avenger. Half of the scenes (actually, more than half of the scenes) consist primarily of *stare* *blink blink* *stare* *gasp* *stare* *blush*. It was just incredibly annoying (and admittedly bleak and depressing). I don't think I will ever let myself watch even a minute more of that thing (The only reason I picked it up in the first place was because the entire box set was cheap and the art looked pretty cool).

Yeah I think fruits basket is dumb and bleach I've only seen a few episodes. I liked the plot. It was interesting. When I saw how many episodes there were I groaned. Too much, too dragged on. So I had my friend tell me the entire story. I do like the plot though.

Stuff with alot of episodes usually sucks.

OH HEY!

BUT Case Closed (Detective Conan) was AWESOME even though the art was terrible. They had a million episodes for that. I loved that show.

I think the street fighter anime was pretty stupid. Better than DBZ, though.
