I think he's a bit rude.

The point is I don't think he means to be rude. He just had a few bad experiences and tries to use it as an excuse to give up. In my book, that's not wise.

I took it all into consideration.. and i reworked it over and over.. i tried to find a balance between how i wanted it and how everyone else was saying to do it... in the end i was sick of working on it, and said i was done and happy with what i got.

I like the final one i made....
I can't keep working on the same stuff all the time...

He's just stubborn. Later on he did change it, didn't he? I know it's not a nice expression to make, but from his point of view he thought he made something nice, then it turns out to be not that good. While necessary, it's not always nice to hear that.

I changed it quite a few times actually... i even went as far as to simplify it, and remove a lot of clutter...

Finally, i was like.. thankyou all for your comments and such, but i'm happy with what i got..
I'm really not gonna keep working on something that long.

I don't really see anything wrong with it, it looks good to me.

Loving the font and the colors, Mundane, though I hope not all maps are like that (otherwise, the red health bar stands out too much). Only other crit I can find is maybe right-justify the Points (the 0 looks odd dangling there).

I would think the hud should always look the same, myself.

That's not what regi meant. Probably it was like that if all the maps are that dark, you should change the color of the bar. Yes, it should look always the same, but it should also match the overall tone of the game.

I can't find anything other then that 0 of the points, make it like Points: 0 to the right.

Thanks for the comments, guys. I see what you're saying about the points. Minor adjustments. :grin: As for the bar clashing I may have to settle on another color. The game's screen tone will change far too often to accommodate different HUD styles. For example:

@MarioSuperStar: I'm not much of an artist or spriter, but I like the style you're aiming for. I don't know how to help you with the shadow thing but the man in front looks like you applied proper shadow

Really need some critique on some battle pictures i've implemented to enhance the visual appeal in battling. I was attempting to mimic the Final Fantasy Tactics A2 battle layout which I found quite visually appealing:
