Thanks! I am just hoping to get better at creating better towns and mountain's for my project. I believe to me that Scripting and mapping is the hardest in RMXP to master.
 
What I think Despain is saying, the ad you use sticks out (it's like a fifth of the game window :P), Anarchy Online for example, has in game billboards, so when you're running around the city, you'll see an ad for the new tayota. I believe Shadowbane had a death ad or something which shows when you die.

Yeah Wyatt, your advertising is pretty badly placed... most games don't just throw it in your face like that, instead they try and make it a little more subtle... that might be hard to do given the style of your game but if done right it could stop people from being turned away from you game simply by the adverts (like I would be)

and also, to the_falcon, I can't wait to see the new "tayota"! lol ;P

I believe the Creator Euphony's account was deleted from inactivity. Thus all his threads were deleted. It's quite the episodic-project though.
 
We don't delete accounts due to activity. If his topics were deleted, he might have thrown a bit of a tantrum and deleted them himself because he used to be a moderator. If that's the case, then he obviously doesn't want people talking about his work.

Tantrum? Or I might still be lurking in the background, working on a playable version of the game. ;)

I'm barely around right now and the NC thread was very old and messy, so I requested that someone delete it. Of course I'll be making a new clean one when a demo version of the game is ready, whenever that might be. So I don't really see why people aren't allowed to talk about it, and if it did inspire some of the tileset work seen in this thread, that's really cool. =)

Seriously though, the episodic version was still quite awesome, and I learned a lot from it as well; I'm sure many others would have too. D: It even inspired me to get off my butt and start recolouring tilesets, hahah.

The mapping itself seems very artificial, but if you're just showing off the tileset it looks really amazing.The shadow under the walls makes it almost look like the wall is hovering over the floor, I'd work on blending them in a more natural way. The tiling is obvious on the straight parts but it looks good on the upper wall in the map.

I'm mostly impressed by the doorway thing in the wall. The way you did that is amazing- a lot nicer than the traditional single-tile hole approach.
 
I love cave entrances.  They're so much fun to make.
@Despain:  You know, I've never really noticed how they look like they're floating...but they really do.  I'll have to play with that in a bit.  I'll also tackle those straight edges.  As for the mapping....I'm so bad at mapping.  That's why Racheal maps things after I make the tileset.  lol  Thanks for the comment and critique.

@The_Falcon:  Thanks.  n.n  Like I said, I love cave entrances...  Your map looks pretty cool.  Inquisitor's stuff is just so amazing.  I like the rocks you added to the paths.  But the cobblestone looking bit at the bottom end of the path looks strange to me.  It's like a path embedded in a path or something.  But that could just be me.
