@ Wyatt: Those pics are really nice. I really like the color/tint you are using. Looks really slick. Overall the HUD looks quite nice. Not overly intrusive like some others I've seen.

Well then, here's a pic from the not quite released version of my project. Comments would be appreciated and welcomed.

its too busy for my taste, lots of stuff just there and not serving a purpose

LustDragon, in the 2nd pic, the beams are not suposed to be in that corners...

Maybe so, but thats where I put them as well and I think it looks better than just placing them in random places on the walls.

3rd pic looks good, but you have a few priority issues.

jbart: it's not random, they're supposed to go on external corners (not internal ones like they are in that shot.)

LustDragon: I love that you are willing to go into photoshop and edit your tilesets to fit certain needs, instead of just ghetto rigging things and setting with the default. It's awe-inspiring.

Yes, actually i haven't set the priority yet, like man that standing in bread :P
I believe beam usually putted in corners.
Thank Prexus, glad you like it.

Beams are supposed to signify a 'turn' on the corner of a wall.

Almost every mapper I see does what you did! Then again, whatever floats your boat. :)

I really like your third map!

yeah, their supposed to, but i like the way they look on the ends of the walls. i do it that way all the time and it looks fine.

Actually, it just looks awkward. To an other person, I mean. If you map it yourself then it won't look half as weird as to someone else.

if you say so :s... but it is all a matter of what you, the mapper wants to do with it. doesn't look awkward to everyone. all people like to map different ways, no reason to put them down.

I'm making a short RPG (battles only, know walking around) based on L-Block and the Gamefaqs Character Battle VI. Development is 50% done.

The battle begins! Yes, this is just an edit of the default battle system.

Riku!?

This is the stuff before the match. Maybe the character will speak to you?

Cloud, the second to last opponent. Buster Sword isn't all he will use however (*cough*knightoftheround*cough*)

(website for game is in sig)

Lust Dragon at first your map is slightly confusing and then I realized what you are doing. Maybe add in some shadow tiles on the lower portions so you can tell easier that there's a higher height to some things.
