This particular location, the first in my project, has been giving me trouble for quite a while, but I finally think I'm starting to figure it out. It's probably going to undergo a few changes; I'm still trying to think of everything that's going to be inside (barracks, infirmary, etc.) so I add and remove buildings as needed.
My main character is a member of the Galian Patrol, a ground of soldiers who take care of the surrounding area: helping the people out with their disputes and defending them against rouge creatures, bandits, etc. The headquarters is supposed to be large enough to support them and most of their basic needs.
Depending on how many different interior areas I end up with, it may or may not shrink in order to prevent unless, unused space.
I think you should shrink it down a bit now, as a space like that is too big to be made interesting. The main courtyard (or whatever it is) needs a central structure or something, otherwise it will feel too bare (not to mention being a b*tch to map).
The orange is a place holder color. I was trying to make it gold so the orange was the closest I could get at the time, bedides its mainly dark blue because that was the the color the background was tinted.
This is the screenshots thread, as the name implies, isn't it? He posted screenshots. What's the problem? I can recall seeing 800 screens of that NetPlay thing over and over everytime something was changed, nobody chewed that guy out.
The map behind the menu, and for the record, ignore that. Maps can wait until the systems, menus, and scripts are completed. Doing maps first and systems later is ass backwards.
