Yep! And I do intend to stretch the command options, just an oversight. I'm trying really hard to get a demo out, even if it's just a tech demo. Thanks alot for the good feedback!

The next release won't be released for atleast a month now, I just need to make 2 more towns and a secret dungeon then take about 2 hours to upload it to rmxpuniverse, so you won't be seeing that title screen in action until then :'(
I'm guessing you don't know about battle world rpg's...Popularity.
 
Aside from the fact that this light-around-the-player thing is something i heavilly dislike if done like this (covering most of the screen), you should at least center it. What I can see below that overlay looks cool, though - nice work with the color set on that one.
 
@Malick: In this screen, the tree in the upper left has its shadow cut off, I think. Otherwise its really nice.
@Yeyinde:...looks like a kids attempt to draw something with paint... but in fact i dont think thats a bad thing.
 
@malick: The cosmetic fog on that last screenshot looks rather odd. What is it supposed to be?

@Yeyinde: I love the cute style! I just think you should improve just a bit on the trees. It looks odd at the bottom, because all the branches point to the right, if you see what I mean.

Well, as I'm posting here anyway I might as well add another screenie. I'm particularly wondering what you think of the flower patch.

Well...

- I don't like the window skin. It's so plain.
- The shadows are horrible.
- The weapons the heroes hold don't match the RTP sprites.
- The wolves are facing the wrong direction.
- How is Arshes holding his sword? With his butt?

Thank you for the input. I'll try to improve the things you mentioned, but what's so horrible about the shadows? :s And he's holding the sword with his hand.
 
He's holding the sword? Well, I think it looks like the sword floats because his hand then has a dark outline, while the rest of his body has a light outline. If you give all the weapons a lighter outline, it would look better.

The shadows are just... Circular. Oval. Whatever. It doesn't make sense that the bottom claw of the wolf and the tip of the soldier's shoe don't cast a shadow, as if they're just standing on a dark dot. Also, the wolf has a shadow to his left? Where does that shadow come from when the light comes from the left?

Or do I suck at menus and therefore should invest in a nice Mega Man game to fill my time? :) :(

By the way, this is actually a mockup, I'm just trying to get feedback BEFORE I try to get it in the game.

Oh, and ignore the fact that the play time window is different than the others, I was going to go with that theme, but I changed it to glass. I guess I forgot to change that window.

EDIT: The blank spots on the character windows are going to have faces in them.
 
hiya people... I just wanna show a mapping system we are making... this is not what the maps will look like. its just to show NO tile maps (on the left is not a png) and also above the play window you can see that we dont use a tileset.

also we are making our own res script... thats why its in 800x600. and our own movment scripts... :D cause no tile redraw i have 50 sprites on the map moving fastest and most frequency :D
