@Malick: Don't listen to the other guy about recoloring. The tileset looks awesome how it is. If you change the stairs to a grayish blue, it will make the whole tileset look too cold. The thing is great how it is.

Actually, Flamer is correct. There is too much clash with the red. Especially in the pots and plants.
Make it more grey to dull it down at least.

Malick: I like what you did with the road now; the interconnected diamond pattern offers a lot more than the circles in terms of making it look good. In terms of possible additions, perhaps make some vertical wall banners that could be placed over the arches and on the empty spaces of the buildings; it will help fill up unused space and add some more personality to the images, as well as some color to the mostly grey architecture.

Ahhh, you guys don't know what you'r talking about. The red makes it different. If he changes it to gray, it'll look like all the other tilesets.

the red does make it different, but perhaps it makes it stick out a bit too much. Blue pots might be better; they still stand out from the grey color scheme, but blue would blend better with the grey to give it a uniform appearance, rather than making it seem like the pots were just thrown in from another tileset for the sake of filling space.

the pots and the stairs might actually be okay in their current colors if they were shaded to the same level of the statues on the buildings. It's a very soft red that doesn't overpower the greys in the other tiles, and would also improve the uniform appearance more than the blue pots I suggested. The statues are more of an earthy tone than the pots and stairs, and if those colors were applied, I think that would be the best form.

Must you have different stone palettes in your tileset, atleast make it brownish/orange, it looks more professional and realistic.

Here is a screen from my current project. Any suggestions or ideas?

I have a question.... How did you do the semi transparent water?

Great map though. The lighting is awesome. I too wondered how the character was going to get out from behind the rocks, but then I thought about it and decided that you put him them as place to put a character for the screen shot.

Great job.
