Bumping this to ask a question before I get it...Where can I go to get just Portal? After seeing previews and stuff on the other games on TV...I don't think I would play them much. (honestly I'm not a big fan of blood and gore, lol)

Unless there's some option to turn that stuff off I might think about getting the box...but I think it would be better for me if I just got Portal alone. (PC version)

The only blood you will see will be the "ICU" Sentry Guns shooting at you if you can't avoid their shots. Even that, I don't remember any gore in Portal, you don't even get hurt when jumping from highs.
But by "box" you mean Orange Box or Portal's box? Because the rest of the games are very gory and I am not sure if you can disable it (I never do it).

Yea I have the Orange Box...and if I can't turn them off then that's ok I guess.

...Please tell me that I don't need to be online to play these games, cause if I do...then that's just stupid, lol. (a window said I need to be online to access my games)

You can launch Steam on Offline mode but you won't be able to play MP games, obviously. And also no updates, downloads, everything that requires internet.

BTW, Peggle Extreme is one of the best in the box :D, try it out

Install with the DVD, if you already did, turn off the updates for Portal and you're ready to go.

DVD? I have disc 1 and disc 2...well whatever, I went to a friend's house to download Portal there so...Surprisingly it works ok on my computer that needs to be upgraded badly, lol. It just lags a bit when I go through a portal and the graphics are bleh...Good thing the parts I need to upgrade are coming in soon this week. :p

Anyways, where can I find the level editor?

Once you buy Half Life 2 I think, you download it for free from Steam.. I think it is the 4.1 version now. Not sure.

Orange Box includes:

Half Life 2, Half Life 2: Episode One, Half Life 2: Episode Two, Team Fortress 2, Portal.

Y'know, if you already have Half Life 2, you can use the new one as a gift for another Steam user, so I gave mine to my brother, as I already had it. I WISH THE ORANGE BOX CAME WITH HALF LIFE 2: DEATHMATCH.

And what's the complaining about the graphics? They're nice. They're not amazing, that's because the engine was made in 2004, and for it's time it was absolutely FANTASTIC. (Probably what Crysis is to us now)

Completed Portal within a few days, but man did that last level drag on! The song at the end was just EPIC.
Anyways, once I get the hang of the new SDK content and the different entities that come with Portal, I'll post whatever maps I may make for it here.

I'm not actually complaining about the graphics, I'm just saying they don't look all that good on my computer. It needs upgrading badly, I'm surprised that I'm able to play through Portal at all, lol. Anybody have any tips on the last level...the advanced map? Well I can't find the editor at all...anybody have a link or something to help me out here?

The Editor, basically, you go to Tools in your Steams options and download Source SDK and Source SDK Base.
Once done, go into Source SDK and click on Hammer Editor. And that should be it.
