i couldn't name just one favourite film - i love so many and all for different reasons. i can narrow it down a little, though. toy story (the original) is a film that's affected me in a way very few other films have. i watched it nonstop as a lil' kid, to the point where i've memorized almost every single line. i consider it one of the defining Things of my childhood, and i've always associated toy story with a simpler time, with the innocence of being an imaginative kid. i love the movie for its techinal achievement at the time, the lovable characters, the slick writing, of course! but on a personal and emotional level, toy story has stuck with me like no other film has. it's hard to describe, and sounds really stupid, but toy story, and the entire trilogy really, has been so deeply rooted in my subconscious that i love the characters like real people. is that weird? vOv
