The best boss fights EVER!

What is your favorite boss fight in any game you've played?  For me, it's not really a boss "fight" but I like making the guys in suits in Enter the Matrix fall off of buildings.  They still don't die, though. Once you get near the edge of the building they fell off of, they shoot at you from the street below.  Damn people, they fell a frikin' 5 stories, how can they be alive!?

1)I really enjyed the battle against freya in start oceaan : till end of time . she keeps standing for over 20 minutes
she hits you where ever you are .. with A LOT of damage , and most of your own attacks cunsume hp to ...


2) Or againsts strife in soul caliber 3 .. he's extreemly fast . and the damage he inflicts he get back in his hp ..
And you need to  kill 5 of the strongest enemies before reaching him . .. you can't refill your hp .

3) Penance from FFX .. no need to explain (hint : it took me very long but he fell down )

4) the first boss of the wind waker (that scorpion dude) .. i still think he's hardest bos of the game : legend of zelda : the wnd waker .

5) for fun .. Lady from shadow hearts : from the new world .. with my lvl 84 party (i thought) she went down in 3 turns xD

Hmmm, I can name a few.

Disgaea-The fight with Death under the Red Moon (This part was actually pretty sad, since right afterwards, you find out something about Big Sis Prinny)
Silent Hill 2-Pyramid Head (The fights with him are special cause you can never win, you just had to survive long enough for him to get bored and walk away)
Tales of the Abyss-Cameo Boss (This fight is just epic. It's Luke and his party facing off against Reid from Tales of Eternia, Nanaly Fletch from Tales of Destiny 2, Philia Philis from Tales of Destiny, and Mint Adanade from Tales of Phantasia.)

God Hand has the most godly (pun intended) bosses out of any videogame.  Fighting those midgit power rangers was the most satisfying thing ever.

So what? Not everyone likes Final Fantasy just because it's mainstream. Some people might like it because they actually enjoy the story/gameplay.

Thinking like this is just as bad as mindlessly liking every Final Fantasy for no reason other than it being Final Fantasy.

As for favorite bosses, nearly all the ones from MGS3 were awesome. I liked how each boss required some sort of strategy to defeat.

Back to topic, Shadow of the Colossus has insanely amazing bosses.

It doesn't HAVE amazing boss battles, the entire game IS amazing boss battles.

My vote goes towards pretty much any action-oriented boss, from Mario games, Metroid, Banjo-Kazooie, etc. There's no fucking way that a shitty RPG boss battle in ANY RPG, no matter how good, can compare to a real boss.
