When can all ya'll be on? I'd like to do any server resets when multiple people are on so we can coordinate.

Also I highly suggest grabbing up all the things you find most useful/awesome and put them on your person.

I'm on from about 10:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. EST most weekdays. After that, I'll be on from around 8:00 P.M. or so until I get bored that evening.

my recommendation: gather the building & crafting materials which take the longest to find/make.

we will find dupes of all accessories & weapons on the new world, but there are only so many gold blocks/walls or chandeliers etc. that we can make, and harvesting meteorite & hellstone is a pain in the ass.

I also recommend grabbing up all your money (duh), chests, and a good deal of wood.

Also in the new world I would really prefer if we set up the NPC village first so all NPCs are in the same spot.

They typ spawn in this order:

0.) Guide (he will ALWAYS take the 1st house you make.)
1.) Merchant (must have 50 silver coins+).
2.) Nurse (must have broken atleast 1 crystal heart.)
3.) Demolitionist (must have atleast 1 bomb, and the Merchant)
4.) Another merchant (comes when 3+ players have 50+ gold, combined)
5.) Another nurse (comes when 3+ players have combined HP of 400)
6.) Arms Dealer (must have atleast 1 gun, and the Merchant)
7.) Dryad (must have killed 1 boss - any boss)
8.) Clothier (must kill Skeletron)

So we will need 9 NPC houses with tables & chairs before we put tables or chairs in any of our separate houses. It'd be a good idea to also make a community storage center and a disposal ditch (a hole 2 blocks wide with lava at the bottom, to destroy junk).

If I catch you with a table AND chair in your private house before all 7 NPCs spawn I will remove them. With a piece of dynamite. You are warned!

We can make the houses as fancy as you like; IDC.

If you want to claim ownership of building an NPC house, call dibs.

Houses will not be allowed to be made of dirt. IDC about other materials. But I think we should shoot for interesting materials instead of boring wood & stone.

The ground should be paved under the NPC city to avoid excessive zombie spawns.

All areas directly in front of exterior doors need to be dug down 2 squares to avoid blood moon break-ins.

You can also prevent break ins by placing a torch on the ground time directly behind the door in your house. This may not look as good but if you're short on materials, etc.

Well the problem there is that people on the other side of the door can't open it, they have to knock it down.

Anyway we have so many materials; there is no need for conservation methods :P

Nah, you've just got to face away from the door, then click to open. Still, I guess your method is more practical.

Oh right, always forget about her; added Dryad to the list.

Forgot to mention:

NPCs will only choose houses that:
- Have a table & atleast 1 chair
- Are made from any material better than dirt
- Have full back walls with no holes in them (well, in the room w/ the table+chair, anyway)
- Are 100% enclosed (doors, platforms count as being enclosed too)
- Have the table & chair(s) in a room whose interior is = or bigger than 8 blocks wide and 4 blocks high.

Also, I just got the game a few days ago, it's more fun than I expected. I love the exploration :D Is the server you guys are playing on full, or may I join as well?

All are welcome, so long as they:
- Are cool
- Don't steal from chests with signs next to them asking people not to steal from them
- Don't stash junk in peoples' chests w/ signs next to them (I hate junk stashers)
- Don't ruin peoples' houses (and if you accidentally do/etc., rebuild it for them).
- Don't fight Skeletron without announcing & gathering a team to organize the fight.


The current world will be reset on Saturday evening EDT, so be sure to get all your stuff ready by then.

I know it's less than 9 x 15 blocks; on my singleplayer world, all my NPC houses are tiny things. Room for a table, chair, and I think about four more blocks of empty space to the door.

Also, does Skeletron ever respawn or do you have to create a world every time you want to fight him? I've looked back at the dungeon a few nights and the man wasn't back.

Skeletron never respawns; AFAIK he is the only boss you can't resummon from Demon Altars, etc.. Hence the rule about not fighting him without rallying a party for it.

Oh, and from the wiki:

"The house has to be atleast 8 blocks wide and 4 blocks high."

I've been using my brothers laptop to play Terraria since this piece of shit computer can't run it... HOWEVER.

I ordered a new computer today and it SHOULD be up and running and everything by the weekend, so I may have to join your server with a new character and k1ll s0m3 sl1m3z... and stuff.

As we are all buffed to fuck, would anyone care to make a Hardcore character or two?

In case you are unfamiliar, a Hardcore character dies FOR GOOD when it dies. Meaning it loses all buffs, all e v e r y t h i n g.
Challenge!

When you die, you leave a tombstone. We could make a graveyard! :D

Also: The 1.0.6 update should be up in coming weeks. It brings no new biomes, so we don't have to worry about world resets, but it DOES bring a lot of playability changes.
