Captain Falcon has already been revealed in certain trailers, and characters like Samurai Goroh have been confirmed as assist trophies, along with the Captain Falcon logo. Sakurai is obviously not revealing the secret characters on his site (at least, not yet.) As secret characters, I expect both Captain Falcon and Ness. Since Ness is directly referred to in Lucas' character post, it seems a safe bet.

From the sound of it though, Ness is likely being pushed back as an AT. Considering Lucas pretty much has Ness' moveset, I wouldn't be surprised either.

BOO @ them demoting characters. Ness is way cooler than lucas.. if only because mother 2 was never released in the states (it wasn't, right?) and i never got to grow to love him like ness :{

Well, Melee Luigi practically has Mario's moveset as well, just with different fireball trajectories and such (and one kick-awesome move replacement. No one needs that stupid cape, seriously.) I assumed they'd do the same sort of thing, yano? Although admittedly, PK Freeze isn't as different from PK Flash as luigi Missile is from Super Cape, and I can't see any notable differences between Lucas' and Ness' respective PK Thunders and PSI Magnets.

And by once again stealing all the elemental PSI, Sakurai's dashed my hopes for Kumatora in Brawl. D:<

The Rope Snake thing sort of suggests that Duster's a no-show as well.

((Of course, since it seems like Pokey's gonna be an Assist Trophy too (if E for All testimony is to be trusted,) they might just be trying for the whole set. Whoo, assist trophy Poo!))

And Xilef, I can't find it for some reason. I could have sworn one of the trailers included Captain Falcon at the Mario Circuit track, but it's possible that it was just wishful thinking.

There's still the matter of the icon, however, and it's true that Captain Falcon's been a standby of the franchise since the beginning; he may have just gone back to his roots as a hidden character. Besides, considering his newfound internet fame following the F-Zero anime, it'd be rather silly not to include him.

They'll probably turn down the Knee's power a little if he's in it, though. Such a shame. :'[

all i know is that lucas never made it to the west



btw luigi isn't a mario clone. his specials are different, his aerial moves are SUPER-inferior to Mario's. mario has one of the coolest aerial games IMO, and that cape isn't useless! I've stolen so many pokeballs that way, and have made manye people sorry they would dare throw a homerun bat at me. @__@ mario was always one of my most played characters, and now that they only ditched his one truely useless attack (down+B) for the fludd, he can only get better

it would be a terrible move to get rid of falcon. there's no reason for it. the only thing ganon has on falcon is his aerial forward+a. that punch is badass.
