My guess is 4. I'm not including clones. God I hope they don't do cloning, it's just lazy and apathetic.

I still wanna see Bomberman.

I don't care if Kevin Keene (That's right, I know the fucker's full name - and what?!) wasn't ever really in a video game... it would be cool... with his NES Zapper gun and the NES controller on his belt to do things like pause and double jump - IT WOULD BE GODLY!!!

Well, you also gotta remember that, excluding Snake and Sonic, all of these characters are unlocked from the beginning. This means that, in proper Smash Bros. tradition, there'll be at least a few secret characters.

Well of course, that's a given. I meant to ask was how many characters you think would be in the final roster.

Also, Dopples, where did you get the info that Sonic would be unlockable? I don't recall reading that anywhere.

Probably around 40...I dunno, I figured the roster would double again...but that seems unlikely so I'm going with 40.

Sakurakiakakiyaika....HOWEVER YOU SPELL IT!...Anyways he said there will be no clones at all this time, meaning characters like Ganondorf (if he makes it in again, he most likely will) and Luigi will have a new set of moves basically.

It was a while ago, but I remember, Sakurai said in an interview, "Any 3rd party characters that would make it into Smash wouldn't be available from the start"...or something of the sort. Of course, I could be wrong and that interview could be phony or mistranslated.

The pictochat stage looks like a lot of fun. I was going to get this instead of galaxy, but as it turns out, it coming out in February. fantastic.

Thing is, No More Heroes is coming out in Feb as well. Essentially, Nintendo just flipped the bird at Grasshopper Studios.

It's Sakurai. And secondly, Ganon and Luigi weren't really clones. They shared similar animations, but were completely different from their originals. Ganon's moveset is likely to change mostly because of his new character design and sword. Characters like Falco, Roy, Pichu, and the good doctor are good examples, however. But then again, Roy, Pichu, and doc are all going to be cut anyway...

I'd like to see a source for this statement, if you will. I hear this all of the time, but I haven't seen where it came from. Though, I doubt there'll be any clones, too.
