i tend to act like the black stereotype around black people and the white stereotype around while people. i was raised around black people and country white people, so im pretty southern and can get a really bad accent at times. i also say "nigga" like every 10 sec in my vernacular with black people, but again thats just how i am.

oddly, though, its hard for me to have a main stereotype since im both black and white. i wear alot of white boy clothes (like american eagle, hollister and aeropostale) but also wear lazy bum clothes. its just whatever looks right with other people, as i dont want to stand out

atm im living around alot of spanish and white people and they main stereotype is to acting ghetto as shit but in a joking fashion, although i dont and everyone thinks im weird for it, although i look like alot of the mexicans so they speak to me in spanish IM NOT SPANISH ASSHOLES but i fit in pretty well so i dont get alot of questions

so i guess its just where i am and i change according to who it is. there are times where i can act ghetto and "niggerish" as fuck and other times where i act astute and professional and other times where im just anime-eccentric. im not "fake" or any shit like that i just adapt to whos around so i dont get alot of differentiation directed towards me.

furries are wierd

I'm a furry. Basically I'm saying it because it's probably very obvious by my recent avatar choice and because it's relevant to this discussion. There are so many stereotypes about furries that no one wants to admit to it anymore. Most furries have a separate everything for their furry stuff (username, etc. and they never link to their other online stuff) and their other online business because they know they'll get shit for being a furry. I'm actually somewhat unique in that I haven't told anyone about it unless I needed to vent, but I haven't bothered trying to hide it either. It's sad to me that people feel like they need to hide behind separate identities to feel safe.

Some furries are sensitive to furry jokes and crap. I'm not; I actually laugh at most of them. Some furries are obnoxious about being a furry. These types of people exist EVERYWHERE, though, not just in the furry fandom, but they get singled out and then furries as a whole get laughed at for their decisions. And that is basically the definition of a stereotype.

If you don't understand it and think it's weird, that's fine. Don't become a furry. But I don't understand why my personal interests should affect how people view me. I've watched other people go through it and it's frustrating, which is why I haven't told anyone about it until now.
