Silly things you think only you do

Every saturday I buy a candy that always make my stomace hurt, and everytime I think. Okay this was the last time I bought this!
Then next saturday I do it again... No idea why haha

Apparently this is really bad for your teeth.
yeah it's not great for them
plus im dehydrated a lot which speeds decay
but i practice stringent dental hygiene ... hopefully that'll slow the wear & tear? ;x

idk, i'll just get rich and have them replace all my teeth with super robot teeth and i'll pick up spy satellite transmissions on them and the CIA will include me on their international adventures.

There's ~7 billion people on Earth. I don't think there is a single thing anyone does which is completely unique.

That said I like to pick up a lot of strange things I find on the ground. I once found an old rusted electromagnetic car horn which I took home and put on a pedestal.

A coworker just brought this up! I have a REAAALLLY hard time looking women in the eyes. I'm not a fan of staring into anyone's eyes, but I have a remarkably easier time and make eye contact with men vastly more than I do with women. Even friends that are chicks.

I usually avert my eyes or stare into the distance.
idk.

ditto. i can while they speak, but once i'm speaking, i have to look around, blink a lot and hold my eyes close to "think" about what i'm about to say even though i already know what i'm going to say..

Heh, did you know this makes it easier for others to look into your eyes? You can turn the situation around by forcing yourself to look into your conversational partner's eyes. If you keep that up for a while, they'll be the ones to look away. You should try it. Btw it also makes you come over as much more confident, and what you say leaves a bigger impression.

I suppose that only works in theory, as that'd mean there could never be two people looking at each other for a longer time. To be honest, I don't think anyone wants that, but yeah ^^
Personally, I feel more comfortable looking whoever I talk to in the eyes, because then I don't feel like a jackass ignoring them. That doesn't change that I occasionally look away, however that's got more to do with me getting tired of staring the hell out of someone than with my being insecure about anything.

Awesome Bro

I look people in the eyes while talking but ocassionally drift off and look somewhere else since I don't want to keep looking in one spot for a long time. The only time I can't look someone in the eyes is when they're wearing sunglasses, the ones where you can't SEE their eyes, it's weird as fuck, so I look at their nose or mouth instead :thumb:

I'm generally always looking over their shoulder, which has bit me hard in the ass a lot over the years from girls who think I was staring at them (in reality I couldn't even see them, my eyesight is not grand)

Actually that brings up a good point. I have hyperactive eyes. Well that's what I can think to call it, I don't know if it's a medical classification or whatever. Basically, if something moves, even slightly, my eyes move straight to look at it. If I'm on a train or whatnot my eyes are therefore all over the place so much that it hurts. This also bites me in the ass because if someone turns to face me, I stare at them hard in the face until something else moves. I can't help it, it's my eyes, that's what they do.

no wonder you are always so tired (well of course because of work but water really helps :I)

That eye contact thing... I can never make eye contact with anyone with whom I am not comfortable. It's really hard during interviews and awards ceremonies and stuff like that. I tend to stare a lot, and people always think I'm staring them down.

I also whistle subconsciously, which tends to annoy people.

When there's a hair in my food, or even worse in my mouth, i cannot eat the rest of the food. I'll mostly even start feeling sick.

I always stare right between somebody's eyes. Making eye contact isn't hard if you're not an antisocial recluse, all you have to do is have some confidence and be assertive. You don't need to have a staring contest with people, you just need to avoid distractions and concentrate. It shouldn't take a conscious effort to maintain eye contact with other people :/

It helps if you're having an active conversation where you're making hand gestures and nodding your head and all that jazz. If you're some weirdo that just stares and makes very little movement then you're going to creep people out!

I used to have a hard time making eye contact with people when I was less social - I'd always stare past somebody's shoulders or at their chin or something. But it's really not too hard if you have a real investment in the conversation, care about what they have to say, (or at least pretend) and talk to people you don't know. It seems like such a simple action is actually surprisingly crucial when you're meeting people for the first time. If you're in a job interview and you can't even maintain eye contact with the guy for more than a few seconds then you're going to come off as somebody who's distracted or uncomfortable interacting with strangers.
