i have a weird habit of rubbing dirt off my palms or fingers, even when my hands aren't dirty.
i also tend to modify my typestyle and vocabulary depending on the situation/peeps i'm talking to. ie i will use lol or haha or bro or various smileys or capital letters depending on if the other person does. what a conformist, huh.

I drive a manual, wyat And yeah, i never use the brake. I always use the e-brake since i hafta used it at stoplights anyway.

I have a tendency to maul the soda cans that cluster around my computer. I will cut them apart with a screw that's sticking up through my desk and either reshape them to be more compact or make little sculptures with them.

I have to make sure my two pieces of bread for a sandwich match up, and then I have to eat the left, bottom, and right crusts first, then the rest of the sandwich, ending with the top smooth crust. XD I do this all the time.

- at work: if i look at a project someone else has worked on, and even ONE thing is askew or awry, i go out of my way to fix it. which usually involves a huge time-wasting process. but it hurts so very bad when i just sit there and obsess about it and don't fix it. even little things that no one sees, like frame positioning in Flash.

- while driving: am i the only motherfucker on the planet that properly uses their turn signals??? christ

- i bite the holy bajeezus out of my left pinky fingernail. my others i can avoid, but no matter what i do, i cannot stop with gnawing on the left pinky nail :[

Idk, would it be tactless to say "oh yeah I used to be in your position but I did x and it worked wonders for me"? Most women want sympathy, not solutions, so probably...yeah, that's a tough position to be in! You could be like, you look fine and just not mention the fatness?

i did do that exact thing today and like she didnt get outwardly pissed but she got all quiet and kind of introspective/sadfaced and then i felt like the worst person ever holy shit

but i cant lie boldfaced like that b/c its like, yeah, they already KNOW theyre fat, if i swear theyre not they will just see that i am trying to placate them and it will end the same

i wish i had a little button i could keep in my pocket and when a conversation goes awry i could push it and it would call my cell phone and then i could be like "oh im sorry i REALLY have to take this"

Wait, so... to stop at traffic lights, you pull the e-brake instead of braking regularly? O_o
I also don't really get the "since you have to use it there anyway" part... but personally (of course driving stickshift, because of the reasons Wyatt mentioned earlier ), I only use the handbrake for parking, and drifting in FWD cars (that was before I fell in love with AWD :p ).

As for the automatic-needs-no-e-brake thing: The 'park' shift blocks the drivetrain, so the car won't roll away - this works on hills as well. If you are merry enough to park in neutral gear, your car will still roll away. So I guess the e-brake is mainly there if you're too smart to use the park gear, or your transmission breaks to pieces and you still would like your car to stand still ^^


And as it'd be a crime to get away from driving, lemme contribute something on the matter regarding the topic:
While I'm a total fan of driving race-ey on the streets, I'm a total rule nazi... I know the complete German street driving rulebook (called the StVO) inside-out, up to the point that I've put the knowledge of a couple of cops to shame that stopped me... which I was pretty surprised about, as they normally know their stuff around here XD
I also follow most of those rules, which is why I use turning lights in the middle of the night on a lonely field, just to comment on Ven's post The only stuff I don't really follow is speeding rules, but I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one with that. ^^

I'm the same way, Wyatt. I can't stand eating outside. Not because of germs, but bugs. I don't hate bugs, but the thought of munching on some buggy flesh? Yuck! ><
