Silly things you think only you do

This is general discussion, not forum games, so you have to go into more detail than "I use my left hand".

I walk to Tesco quite often (~4 miles each way). There's a subway about half a mile from the store that chavs normally dump trolleys in. If I see one or two on my journey I pick it up and walk it back to the store. There's not even any quids in them as it's magnetic wheeled trolleys (which don't actually work by the way). I've done about four in total. I figure nobody else is going to do it. Am I the only one who does this?

trolleys = shopping carts?

And wait, I thought Tesco was a gas station. You have shopping carts at gas stations?

Anyway, I can't say I've ever really gone out of my way to retrieve store property for a store. If I go shopping and have a cart, I'll always park it in a cart corral/space, if there's one around, or return it to the store.

I guess here's a little quirk of mine that people look at me weirdly about.
When I get foil or paper wrappers for things (candy and such), I have to fold them into tiny squares. I do it without thinking. I've just ... Always been compulsed to fold little squares with wrappers.

Well, the first thing I do every single weekday morning is grab a poptart and go straight to the computer.

What I think is silly: I don't actually open the package to my breakfast until like one or two hours later. D: Not sure why.

I do the exact same thing with my wrappers too, lol.

And Tesco is a big ass retail supermarket chain, although they have a petrol station in the carpark of just about every store.

Tesco is like our Walmart if you doubled the size of every walmart and made the other half groceries. My local store has two floors with travelators in between.

I do soimething similar - if I have a packet of crisps or a sweet wrapper I always have to curl it up into a really tight thin straw and then tie it in a knot in the middle.

Yeah so does mine, I think it's the norm for Tesco stores now, they're cool.

I read magazines backwards. (as in i start from the end and read towards the front)
I eat meals organized. (such as if there is a steak, corn, and potatoes, i will eat them in order, never together)
Whenever I play a game with achievements, I try and figure out a possible way to do it on one playthrough.
I read forums by f5ing new posts, if possible.
I try and avoid people I know from a long time ago, even if I'm on good terms with them.
I take 30-40 minute showers and spend most of the time thinking about game dev. or just whats been going on recently.

Three things I like more than anything:

1. getting lost
2. maps
3. getting lost

I love the frustration of not knowing where I am and finding my way to somewhere. Only if I know I'm within walking distance of course (it would suck to not know where you are and not know if you can even reach your destination).

I also like very long, pointless walks. It is calming.

For example, I have four supermarkets near me:

Yellow: Sainsbury's
Blue: Morrisons
Red: Tesco Extra (Beaumont Leys)
Green: Tesco Extra (Hamilton)

Generally I walk to Beaumont Leys finding new routes through the housing estates; it's about four miles each way. There is a free hospital bus that goes from Tesco to Tesco so if I'm tired I get that one direction.

Tomorrow though I'll get the bus to hamilton and try and walk back from there, as there's no straight road unlike BL.

Oh, I drew the lines from the train station so y'll can't stalk me too much. :)

I think I have this same enjoyment. It makes its presence aware in Minecraft when I am exploring the caves. I like going down, into dark caverns, and feel somewhat disappointed going areas i've already seen.

ohhHHhh. well here there are Super Targets and Super Wal-Marts and those are giant. half retail, half grocery store. Sam's Clubs are bulk-discount stores and sometimes have gas stations, too. so i guess they're like the same thing. except i've only ever seen one that was more than 1 story tall. they're mostly just like, wide as a football field.

im not a big fan, personally ... but they're cheap. /shrug

whenever i park my car i put up the emergency brake. i thought this was what you were SUPPOSED to do. but no one ever does it. maybe because i live in florida (no hills).

it feels horribly wrong when i don't engage the emergency brake, though :/

Engaging the emergency brake is a practice from Manual Transmission vehicles and is not a necessity when driving an Automatic Transmission vehicle.

I have to make sure my two pieces of bread for a sandwich match up, and then I have to eat the left, bottom, and right crusts first, then the rest of the sandwich, ending with the top smooth crust. XD I do this all the time.

I like to dip my meat in my mashed potatoes.

I know there's more, but I think of them at the moment.

My parents always use the handbrake. But then every car in America is automatic isn't it I guess. In Britain pretty much every car is manual. We're just better multitaskers and better drivers and not pussies/poofters. :girl:

i do both of those things
well i've never really thought about the directional order before though

idk formally how to drive manual, myself. but i've known a lot of people who own manual cars here.
personally i dont see a lot of point in them if you live in a city where you're stuck in stop & go traffic all the time. too much work shifting every 5 seconds.

before your time, it was called a "Parking Brake". Some genius realized you could use it if your brakes went out, viola... Emergency Brake.

All my Jeeps (3) have been manuals. I only use the hand/parking/emergency brake if I'm on a hill, or sliding on ice at high speed.
Also had a manual Impala, Mustang, and a Ford F150 short-bed with "3 on the tree".

I wash my ear canals out with soap.
I squirt salt-water up my nose for a sinus infection.
I, occasionally, put peanut butter on hotdogs
Make homemade cheesecake, from scratch, at hunting camp.

Whenever I have a bowl of ice cream, I always eat half of it and then mash the rest down to make it into soft serve ice cream

I don't but cherry coke, but whenever I buy coke I buy some cherry syrup to mix in with it

When I'm done with a soda, I rip the can in half to make sure I got every drop

I take the tabs off the top of soda cans, and then toss them into my soda can recycling bin and listen to it fall down to the bottom as it hits the many cans inside

i pour milk in ice cream and mix it before eating so it's like a thick milkshake :>

i sip everything i drink, so with soda cans, i crack them open only a teensy bit. it drives my bf insane for some reason :)
