I have a bit of a twisted imagination myself, and the twists and plot turns that frequent themselves in the SAW series would make me go see the fourth one.
I never saw third one though. I ought to go do that. Now that the original Jigsaw is dead, I'm curious as to how his lone student will do teaching life lessons to others.

All the Saw movies blow.
There was a discussion about those movies on another forum I frequent, and the general consensus was that those movies are sick. Anyone who gets their jollies watching people be tortured should probably take a good long look at themselves to figure out what their major malfunction is.
I dont mind a violent horror movie, but when the violence and suffering is portrayed in too realistic manner then it becomes less entertaining and more disturbing. The only thing that makes torture movies scary is the fact that people actually like watching them.

saw 1 was awesome. I really liked the movie.. saw 2 was decent, it was pretty entertaining. saw 3 was total fucking gay. really, the 'twist' was just stupid. it seems like the process to them having a twist is having one guy write the whole movie, and having another guy who hasn't read the script come in to write the ending.

I'm not a horror fan. Although the saws are more like gory thrillers. I don't really get off on that but I enjoyed the movies, the first 2 at least.
It wasn't the gruesome stuff that had me interested but the intriguing story line. Saw one was great, with some very nice twists, my favourite. Saw 2 was also decent. Most people I know say it was there favourite, but the twist wasn't as interesting for me. Probably a lot of people just enjoyed the gore. (The needle scene is hard to forget)
Saw 3 completely lost it, like Cruelty says. There was barely a storyline or twist, it was just torture, torture and guess what? Bunny rabbits. Drums: *boom boom tish* ':|
With 4 I'm not expecting it to be anything other than horrible. Or will they turn it around? If they don't, they definitely should have left it at 3. Although we can't expect them to care, we were stupid enough to give them all the money they needed to see it viable for a 4th.

Never liked any of the Saw movies, I found them all just too boring.
The death of Jigsaw at the end seemed a little quick and easy. Sure, the guy was on his deathbed with cancer, But did nobody else find his death a little strange?
If you look at the things that he does, Faking death or even illness would hardly be a surprise. I sure hope he has because without him, I don't think I'd want to watch it. He makes those films all the more scary with his appearence and personality. No matter who he talks to it's always in a patronising way, Always as if he knows what that person doesn't, It's great!
The girl who seems to be "taking over" his reign would be the death of the series in my opinion. You can't put an old head on young shoulders meaning she hasn't got anywhere NEAR the amount of knowledge that he does, She'll flop!
If it is her taking over, I hope she gets busted and the whole series ends there. I don't want something this good becoming a once or twice a year "Who cares" job like Scary Movie. Okay, that comparison is a little off, But you get the idea.

I can't say I didn't enjoy the Saw movies, but to me they were not on level with earlier psychological-thrillers like the Hannibal Trilogy (Not Hannibal Rising, it royally sucked). Sure Jigsaw was a genious, but diabolical, he had little rhyme or reason other than a mental dysfunction. Hannibal was cunning, devious, intelligent and cooperative at times. Sure both had their gore-filled moments, but Hannibal seemed more fulfilling in the way that it was presented.
