I don't quite get what Demographic we're talking about here.

Are you talking about the mean number of people at the forum within an age group, or who we gear our games towards?

If we're talking about the mean number of people, 16-18 seems pretty accurate, with 13-15 close in tow.

If we're talking about the demographic of who we make games for, I think 19-21/22-25 is a good area. Because that is closest to the age of people who understand and respect the SNES-Style RPGs that RPG Maker XP produces. Younger than that, and everyone wants to make Pokemon, and World of Warcraft, and Halo and shit.

I was mostly just talking about the board. People can figure out their own demographics for games I assume. I just like to quiz people on crap :p. I hate math but for some reason statistics thrill me. Kinda weird O_o.

I think you'll find the primary demographic to be male, aged 15-23, and American, with a healthy percentage of Canadians and British. The really young RMers tend to go to the less professional/strict sites, I think.

Pretty interesting. But yeah, typically I lie when asked for my birthdate, I just didn't here. I mostly do because I'm lazy and just hit January 1st, some-random-year. But in the unlikely event that everyone was truthful, I'm happy to see my prediction was correct as far as that table shows 8-).

Hmm... unless I forgot to carry the one it appears we're missing members. I counted 2158 - and now my head hurts - but there's 2503 members... oh wait, 345 members could have signed up within the day. That's not unbelievable after all. Wow... I gotta get a calculator, or a working calculating program... and some aspirin...

I'd expect many of the ages are skewed. I know when I was younger I lied left and right about my age on an internet that never required any ID other than "scout's honor your xx years old? Click Yes:"... for all you know I'm really the only true 8 year old, those other three are lying.

There's more than 2503 members, but I stopped at 35 because I got lazy. Many members (18,073 members as of today) either have no birthday, are over 35, or are clearly lying about their age; e.g. one member has a birth year of 1903 listed, another 1911, etc.
